Sometimes all the reds who go to attack the warday spot die and there's like 3 reds still alive not doing rebelling just delaying the round while there are 5 blus in the warday spot just waiting.

Here's what I propose:
Allow blus to hunt before 6 if there are less reds than blus alive during warday

I can understand from a certain point that it eliminates some unwanted timewaste. Seeing some reds just not actively participating is not the purpose of warday but it happens.
However, the problem I have with this is that the cell doors only open at 9 (I try to open the cells earlier if all the blue's arrive at the position), so letting the reds use those 3 minutes is amazing due to grabbing the ammo (30 seconds), preparing uber (1 minute), preparing a tactic, etc. They could do like 2 rushes if it comes to it.
I'm voting no.
 
okay but how do you know if they are or arent rebelling, does a sniper scoping up from afar count as not actively rebelling? This is a headache to enforce or set a line to.
Best to keep it set to fixed time, this way there is no confusion.

Suggestion doesn’t mention anything about reds needing to be active.
 
Skeptical about this. I can see it fucking over reds that are actively playing the game/on their way to.


But it is really annoying waiting for war day to end since the guards are restricted to such a bizarre set of restrictions (unavoidable to be fair) that the game comes packaged with

Would like to see what everyone has to say about this because my vote is not locked in on no at all
 
Seems like a band-aid fix to the larger issue that warday drags on too long, would rather see the warday hunt time changed to 8:00.

not staunchly against this, but a much more elegant solution (like changing the time to seek to 7) is what I would prefer

I wouldn't be against this idea if it weren't for the problem that the blue's need to be on their way to the location + the reds needing to grab ammo. That takes a lot of time on their own.
Unless we really wanna change the way on how we look at warday, then I wouldn't be against the idea Semi suggested.

I swear most war days have barely started by the time 8 rolls around but I could be mistaken lol
 
I think the time to hunt at 6 is pretty good but my biggest annoyance is those 3 reds not doing a damn thing

My problem is that people above do voice legitimate concerns. It might be time to consider 7 as the hunt time, rather than this resolution.
 
I'm with Pistol on this one.

Another idea would be to mention that REDs need to "actively" hunt BLUs, therefore if they're hiding somewhere other REDs can ghost them (Snipers scoping in towards WD spot would be considered as actively hunting). [Not ideal at all -- I'm just throwing it out there as a what if -- considering that it'd be yet another rule for Admins to regulate and they already got plenty to maintain lmao.]

We could give it a test for it in a few weeks if anything, once the new maps got some time to be played on current settings..?

100% Agree that I would consider 7 rather than 6 as the hunt time- usually if warday has gotten to 7 only a few reds are blues or remaining and it would speed up the process to prevent delayed rounds.

I can see this as a good compromise aslong the fundamentals stay the same.
 
Team doesnt like this change because it seems a bit too finnicky, we also believe the hunting at 7 idea brought up by every single response to this thread is way better.

don't overcomplicate things everyone. I don't like the "make the game as short as humanly possible" mentality everyone has, but the other option is way too much math for TimmyTwoShoes2015 to handle

honestly I don't think either of these will fix the issue; upping the seek time risks letting blues out too early and just curb stomping the reds especially if the reds arent playing cohesively, and allowing blues to leave if there are less reds would have the same result (a full blue team would make this even worse).
moving the seek time up to 7:00 is lesser of two evils but it's still not great.
sighhhhhh yet another failed sunsob suggestion...
