Since this suggestion is nearly two years old I would like to gauge feelings around hiding red kills from the killfeed. Its cool to think about and would open up rebelling opportunities in a really fun and interesting way.
The "x has rebelled" message in chat would still exist, its just that you wouldn't know if a blue dies unless you check the scoreboard.

Just not a fan.
Yes the Y.E.R does this already, no I do not care about that niche.
The information and how it is displayed I believe is enough of a benefit to blus to vote a strong no on this.
How a fellow Blu died is just as important if not more so than just them dying to a Rebeller in chat.
How you handle a Blu dying to a Headshot is very different than how you handle when a Blu dies to a Scattergun, for example.

Thats the FUN PART, not knowing what youre up against and demanding blues to actually communicate and give effective callouts, it makes the game a lot more interesting

This kind of directly makes the YER useless which is one of its fun gimmicks it currently has.

I don't see how it benefits rebellers, like, if a warden doesn't notice the fact that one of his guards is not talking and missing, then he's probably oblivious enough to not have looked at the kill feed.
and if he is the type of warden that pays attention all it takes is to press tab to figure out that his guard is dead. nothingburger suggestion.

a blu would kinda wanna know if someone brutally murdered their fellow blu... so they dont give lr to a rebeller
also, its not "fun" not knowing which class killed your blu. i want to.... know how to deal with them??
this isnt fun

it makes it to where blu may not necessarily know what they're dealing with, which may make things fun. an example could be a sticky trapping demo

Just throwing an idea out there; I'm obviously not voting for this as I don't play JB, nor is this idea based on any experience, but how about we make a plugin which hides only the kills that can't be heard/are performed outside of a certain radius, perhaps that introduces some balance?

ive fallen back to not liking the idea very much.

...is this doable? im not sure this would change my mind but that'd be pretty wicked if that's possible

I believe so, hook when the kill feed information is sent to the clients, and perform a check if said client is within a certain radius or not, then either continue sending or cancel.

This would be really cool.

I do not know if this is possible, but I could see it being very interesting if we kept the death message but just hid the method of killing. EX: Having all death messages using the same symbol. It doesn't go as far as hiding death messages, but also has the mystery that is desired by banana and others since the blues will still not know the class of the red without insight. It almost forces them to make a callout if they are going to die, and communicate more
