Unlike previous LR suggestions, these two are not LR ideas that just spontaneously sprung into my head. These are in fact two LRs that War3Evo (the now defunct Jailbreak server I was an admin for in the past) had at the end of their lifespan, in 2019. I figured I'd give this a shot and see what the Panda community would think about these two LRs. They aren't complicated and the plugins required to make them work should be easy to find or code:

1. Underwater Day: For one round, the entire map is submerged in water. This would significantly change how certain games would be played, but I don't think it would make any game overly frustrating. Plus, it would put an interesting spin on rebelling. The only class to my knowledge that this LR would significantly affect is the Pyro; they would be crippled on BLU (flamethrowers are useless underwater) but buffed on RED (Neon Annihilator). The plugin War3Evo used made it so players would not be able to drown.
2. Grappling Hook Day: Every player would receive the Mannpower Grappling Hook for one round. Like Underwater Day, I believe it would put an interesting spin on rebelling and how minigames are played without being overly frustrating.

P.S. We also had another LR that made every floor slippery like ice, but I decided against suggesting it as I personally think it would make the round more frustrating than fun (it would make certain minigames borderline impossible). We also had a Bhop LR but this was already suggested by Calassic.

Both of these sound like a whale of a time. If these get added then these will be my first 2 LRs. I'm very excited.
 
wtf do you do in underwater day, a large portion of the games in rotation rely on gravity existing and being unavoidable.

Grappling hook is a grand time whenever someones requested it. Would like to see that one given a shot
 
Underwater day i believe was a wonderland thing and I was around for its addition. It was one of the more popular ones as it made wardens get creative but heavily punished most blues as reds would run neon annihilator exclusively

Underwater day is actually so bad, everyone moves so slowly and it’s much harder to rebel.

It straight up breaks most minigames, it’s an inferior freeday that shouldn’t be played.

Please think about this above the fact that you played it 10 years ago. How would moving slowly put an interesting spin on rebelling.
 
If these are added they should fall more in line with market garden day, hhh kill round etc, where it's a more chaotic round where everyone gets ff enavled after a short duration. As I think both of these wouldn't play well as regular rounds.

it was actually more like 2 years ago! And i went back to wonderland shortly before i started playing panda, it was quite fun. The main drawing point comes from being able to either run away fast, or to try and do minigames in an unconventional manner. There are obbies with roofs that have odd pathings which makes it a new challenge unto itself. Likewise with deathrun and other games. The map pool has changed since and I believe there is still a lot of potential. A favorite is typically karts underwater since it does work together. It is quite fun.

Underwater day seems fun ngl on paper. But grappling hook is just gonna insta kill the blus besides the constant annoying sound of it when being spammed etc.
 
They both sound like alot of fun! However id only like grapple to be added as underwater day would be painful on blu against Neon Annihilator, and idk if you can stop people from drowning so i can see it ending quick.

As for grapple hook day, i can see this being just as mental but alot more fun, especially for people who arnt as good at some minigames, it would help them finish minigames and see parts they may never have gotten to. (that's if the guards get to a minigame before warden gets rushed)

Normal day with grappling hooks is way more fun than ff all server free for all

The underwaterday sounds fun but I just see annoyance with grabbling hook day

Doing a underwater round makes the game from a gravitational point extreminly interesting. Not only in rebelling but as well minigames.
It could be a amazing chaotic addition

With grabbling hook, I have 1 sentence for that lr:
"hehehe, spy grabbling hook backstab go brrrrrrrrrr"
 
They both sound like interesting ideas! Since there's a way to prevent drowning I think that they both could be cool additions to the Lr options.

Underwater day thinking from wayyy back when I used to play on other communities forced wardens to be really creative in their minigame making process rather than using what was provided for them. I think in the current setting it would be smart to see it tested out first before permanently adding it to see what players think.

Grappling hook day on the other hand would make it a nightmare for blues but kind of in a fun way? I could see wardens doing climb with some crazy restrictions because of the grappling hook that I think could be very fun. Of course there are other uses for it too but that is just off the top of my head.

I'm not so sure I agree with you on that- different communities like different things and Panda seems to be creative enough to where LRs like these could work/thrive given the chance- we don't know that until there is at least a trial period.

games ruined by underwater day: climb, obby, freight frenzy, arena (pyrosharks), crush game (too slow on faster speeds), sweeper, awp dodge (too slow to escape), boss fight (slow and floating around), danger below, karts, prophunt, etc

just doesnt seem fun having every hop jb game ruined besides like bowling and bk or knife pit due to being too slow or being able to just float around
 
Not a fan of Grappling Hooks, but at least that would be fun and chaotic.

I don't think you guys truly fathom how awful Underwater Day would be in practice.
Do you really want everyone to move sub-Heavy speeds while being floaty, easy to hit targets, given blus have crits?
Not to mention the pragmatics of several minigames being broken.

Being inventive is great, forcing innovation is not.
