Simple LR idea

Its a regular round except the timer is now X mins long instead of 10 mins.

That’s it.

Would be fun to have!

(To whichever admin reads this, if the first two choices end with majority compared to the No option, can I request a second vote to be initialized between the two. Thank you!)
 
addition:
what if the prisoner could pick this lr and then type a number between x and 9 afterwards to decide how many minutes it'd be?

but i do like this idea, as it forces wardens to hurry up their round instead of wait 4 minutes to open the damn cell doors because they aren't sure of what they're doing or smth like that.
im a bit indecisive on the amnt of time though, so ill wait with voting for now.

Cowboy yells at me for using a slippery slope logic behind not wanting stuff changed that make the rounds shorter, and then people keep suggesting this stuff that either makes the round shorter or adds a solution to a problem that brings multiple other problems. This is just kinda dumb and really limits games to play on maps that already have big problems with closest game to cells problems like volcano and mayan

The point isn’t to make shorter general rounds. This is just an lr. I don’t know the history behind past suggestions like this, but this just sounds fun. Especially on blue team, it would be a fun challenge to rush the reds off minigames/activites in a short time. And on bigger maps, it’s going to have the blues get creative for once(Mayans close to minigames though and climb is close to volcano cell area too.) And it doesn’t have to be a successful round every time to, just how low gravity or rtd days don’t have to.

I don't think you understood my point about the map thing,

climb and fall game are two minigames that get played almost every round possible on volcano, and mayan only has wardens ever playing bhop and sweeper, which is a quirk I can't explain since its not even a large map & has the teleporter.

It would work for a map like bricker, jailfort, or hop where everything is kind of close and you'd have to know which games you need to play to give LR in a timely manner, but with a map like Volcano any game that would result in a significant portion of the reds dying are all REALLY far away except for climb only. Meaning you are stuck to the few games close to cells BY DESIGN.

Maps that very heavily have wardens playing the closest two games to cells such as Lunapark, mayan, casurina, (and cargo to a lesser extent) will have that problem doulbed or triple depending on which timer gets added, which I find quite silly. It would be way more difficult to give LR on big maps with games a fair distance from cells such as volcano, underjail, stormfront, and miami.

It has nothing to do with that. It’s simply, how fast can you do a proper round of JB and give LR…
That has everything to do with what I said. Its a dumb idea that will 100% die a death within 3 weeks once people realize how boring it is to see it ALWAYS deflate into ruhsing into the closest game.

The fastest I have ever given LR is 55 seconds, and that was by completely taking away all aspects of the socialness of the game and sending the entire red team STRAIGHT into speedrun and turning the game on ASAP. 3 minutes would forcibly take that away on many maps all in the name of making a round faster, which is exactly the point I was making. (I would take a guess that 5 minutes would do something similar with less drastic effects, but you voted for 3 which makes me believe you see 3 minutes as the better and idea being focused on more).

No thanks, 90% of wardens do the minigame closest to cells anyways. This lr only serves as a disinsentive to play a minigame thats further away. Literally I see this going on most maps. "All reds bomb rush to arena" "Okay FF goes on at xyz time, good luck!"
Just think this does absaloutely nothing and would just be a warden rushing a round by making it completely boring for the reds.

Thats why I want the 3 minute option. Sure, the warden can do the same boring game closest to cells, but what after? Sure, on minigames like climb that can be raced your first order could be first to finish, but not every map has that. (like russian roulette and dr is completely out of the question on casuarina because of how long it takes). And on volcano, while you could do climb, you could also have all the reds use the vent on top of cells to get some distance in, and on other maps you could do something like sweeper but it would kill the whole team unless they're really bad.
I guess what im trying to say is if you really want to be creative, you definitely can. And for the average warden that cant, they're probably going to be a little frantic, which can lead to some funny situations/deaths for both teams. In the end(especially with the 3 minute option), its a short sting of a round that would last way shorter than every other lr (besides rapid rockets day), and i could see myself having fun on either team while the lr is active.

Interesting idea, but not a fan.
Maybe everyone having a speed boost for a "quick" round, but limiting the timer is just going to be 'time to play the closest game to cells' the ✨experience ✨.
My vote is no, but there is potential in the concept.

To add to this suggestion ontop. I only suggested a different time because that would be extremely easy to code for a plugin.

However, If we did throw on a speed boost on top for all players, would this make you guys change your vote?

Could be a great addition but would most likely be abused on shorter maps. If I'm not mistaken with my little to no knowledge of coding, it can't be programmed to certain maps only. Either has to be rooted to the code or not at all.
Seeing the speedboost on maps like Jailfort and (holy heavens) HopJB would be a nightmare to control, especially for those rushing to battle boats with boston basher.

While it is a fun suggestion and could have made some of the funniest rounds ever, with the amount of maps we're having which range from small to big I can only find hinderance and problems back.
Gotta sadly vote for no.

imo 3 minutes would be too harsh on blus and probably just lead to them doing shit like die or dont die or sweeper 1 podium with cc so that the round isnt a failround
