Declined [JB] Increase Map Cooldown (re-vote) (1 Viewer)

Note: I haven't played JB in 3 months. Opinions may be altered.

Given this thread that was made 4 months ago and was never added (or prolonged to be added), thought I should bring it back similar to what Bananawastaken's suggestion on the Overtalk plugin for new regulars. Vote option will be the same as the previous thread made on this. If there is something you want to be altered concerning map votes, discuss it here.

The objective of this suggestion is to try to get a more diverse selection of maps and prevent cycling. Poll will be open for a week.

Voting for 3, we have so many maps in rotation, maps aren’t being overplayed, rather not enough diverse maps are being nominated.

The popular maps are popular for a reason, the system is perfectly fine the way it is.

Why have a revote on this suggestion? The initial suggestion had 21 votes for 5 map cooldown and won by 7?

Shouldn’t we just push for the change instead of having the same suggestion every 3 months because nobody pushes for the change?

Well if not playing JB for 3 months is a solid start. 8 years of playing jailbreak should be an awful start. I've been around multiple communities, staffed, and yada yada. Something I've tend to notice is yeah people do like the same maps. I think in the current pool, 3 maps before a replay. There are 3 main culprits, MLcastle, Supermario, and HOP. Often times I'd get a loop of the same 3 without much breathing room to let underrated maps. There's some decent maps that would benefit greatly from more plays. Personally, 2 more maps before the same 3 usually wouldn't be the end of the world. Yeah those three are good, but too many of something good is another issue.

I'm fine with 3, I think 5 might be better for map diversity, but it might not even matter with the rtv fodder that is nominated for no reason.

Current suggestion has it 5. I think 10 is just a bit too unreasonable. Maybe 7/8 would've made more sense as the higher option. Although we just need to really push as a community to get the rarely played maps the love they deserve.

10 was what was originally on Nergal's suggestion and this is just a copy of that poll. Other numbers higher than 5 seem viable

I think if our goal as a community is wacky fun that rotates like it’s warioware, then hell yeah bring on the crazy map coolfowns

But sadly people take this game really seriously and it just wouldn’t work imo. 5 works great considering the map pool is bigger than ever. It made sense when we ran like 15 maps so a 5 cooldown would’ve been crazy

So want to thank you all for giving your feedback and votes towards this suggestion but this is one of those rare moments were this suggestion is rejected by the owner regardless of vote.
Although a lot of good points have been brought up, the concern is that this is not within the best interest in panda community to increase map cooldown. Concerns regarding the consequences of limiting player's selection of maps, regardless of map pool size, will have a negative effect on player's satisfaction.

I hope you all understand and are not discouraged to not suggestion anything in the future. If you all would like to re-suggest this in the future, give it at least 6 months from now. However I cannot guarantee that if it is a change vote positive again that it will change. I would suggest bringing up examples from other communities were increasing the map cooldown had a positive effect.
