I think we should replace famous with famouz 2. they are pretty much the same map but I think famous 2 is the better one. It looks better, has more games, doesn't have a bugged jump game that gives you low gravity for the entire map if you die in it, a better arena and more opportunities for rebellers.

Not sure why we changed it to famous 1 to begin with
 
Having played both maps. I'm impartial to both really. I think they both aren't great maps, just being fundamentally 4 long corridors. with main cell in the middle. Famouz 2 has the sewers which are just.... more long corridors underneath the pre-existing corridors. Honestly in a position where I don't think either are the best suited to the map pool. Voting no here but I couldn't really care less which version of the map we have.

The sewer system in famouz makes it hilariously easy to rebel at times and I do not really like that
 
Can someone tell me if the original Famouz has the hotel on the one end of the map? (the one that was next to the mini-golf minigame on Famouz 2) My memory of the original Famouz is very fuzzy.

I know original famous doesn't have minigolf although I can't recall if it has a hotel or not.

we are running original famous right now, it has no hotel

famouz (what we just replaced) has a hotel




why is everyone talking about famous like it was the past, its in rotation rn lol!
 
We just replaced Famouz with Famous. They seem to be basically the same but something in the water supply of Famouz makes wardens extremely stupid.

Yeah I kinda prefer famouz 2 over the original. It just isn't famouz without the hotel.
 
I sort of like famous 2 better because it has a nicer aesthetic and some new features but the sewers are absolutely terrible. I wonder if enough people agree with me that we could try to add a version of famous2 where sewers are inaccessible?
 
Honestly I havent played other map too much. I thinkkk the old version has russian roulette, but thats about as far as I know about the map.

I can almost gurantee the day that we swap back to Famouz people will immedietly complain about how hilariously easy it is to rebel on and complain that the map is failround heaven.

If we want to keep the map, which we should, then famous is the only option imo. They are VERY similar maps, but Famouz simply plays infinitely worse because of the sewer and the hotel.
 
To set the scene of why it was removed, the poll results here are quite bad and nobody really gave a proper reason for reverting it (at the time) so I want this thread to be done proper.

famouz is a fun map. As long as you watch the sewers or have competent blues, it doesnt usually become too much of a problem. i love famouz i live breathe famouz

Idunno. Couldn't really tell you the difference between the two. Same overall shell, both have the same great obby.
No vote from me either way cause yeah idunno
