Declined [JB] Relegate HG to an Option in the LR Menu, as Opposed to it Being a Custom LR (1 Viewer)

This one I gave a lot of thought after my post in regards to LR chains.
The most predominant compliant I saw levied against them, were HG chains dominating a map.

I feel like 3 times is a pretty fair middle ground compromise for those that do enjoy HG as a major part of JB.
Tack it on the second page of the LR menu which has room to spare, and I feel like it wouldn't be too intrusive either way.

The only LARGE, and it is large, downside is that then the rules of a HG are in the hands of the Warden.
As it would no longer be a custom LR, implementing specific rules would massively bloat the LR menu to allow for those options.
HG can be many many things. Vanilla HG, HG no rules, HG no teaming, HG no medic, etc. and all the various combinations of such.
Simply put, that just cannot be done on a list of LRs without giving HG its own dedicated LR page, which would then defeat the purpose of limiting it.

So what are the community's thoughts?
I sat on this while, got distracted, and then remembered the idea tonight.
I feel its a solid compromise that keeps JB more about JB, while still more than allowing HG as a fun FINITE distraction.

Even if the HG limit is 3. Does it really matter if a red can make a custom lr HG? Unless that would be a rule to deny hg custom lr since theres an option for that. are there even any plugins that give it the functioning it already is? this seems pointless

LR wasted once a stickler for the rules catches it and says hell report if you do HG

So accidentally doing it a fourth time wouldn't be possible. It'd be limited in the same way HHH and RTD Day are.

And for this yes.
HG wouldn't be allowed as a custom LR, just as Freeday for All isn't.
To extend this, no plugin would be needed aside from a message on screen displaying Hunger Games, just as it does with every other LR.

no amount of adding pieces to an HG menu could have the combinations that HG have

What about HG no teaming no medic melee only cell area only and crouching after 6:30? Where would that be in the menu

If you want a different LR, earn it.

Speaking specifically on not wanting repeated HG, theres a bunch of different ways to end the chain.

You specifically dont even have to win the LR, or take out everybody on the team. If you take a piece of a team out, then theres a good chance the entire team will follow.

You could kill the warden for example. On some maps that is hella easy.




Also HNS chains exist too!
At least HG has gameplay.......

I dont like HG chains, but I dont agree with this. One of the saving graces to hg is you can make rules to it. One LR might say "crouching all day" the other might say "hg in climb" (but unfortunately most of them say "hg no rules").
Making HG an option removes this, and it makes it even more uncreative. I don't like hg chains, but I think that this is not a measure we should take to prevent them.

I'm gonna be honest man it really sounds like you're just coping with this one here.

Why would you care what the LR is if you're on blu? you don't get to participate anyway, you just wanna kill people who don't follow orders to a T. Even then, if you hate it that much, then get off blu and win LR yourself

As for newer players, they
A) were most likely not gonna win LR anyway since they're newer
B) will learn how jailbreak works soon enough, you don't have to pretend to be their white knight
C) will pick it up soon enough, it's easy to understand

I care on blue because its not fun to sit around for 6 minutes until someone wins.
Also understanding hg is a lot different than winning hg

What others have said. Most of what gives Hunger Games it's beloved status among the players is the ability to add unique rules to it (regardless of whether or not the players actually like them). Relegating it to the LR menu basically removes that ability.

However, I wouldn't be against adding a "Hunger Games with RTD" LR in the menu like with Warday.

This is bloat. Just add an option for the recipient to turn RTD on or off for their LR choice that doesn't take up their LR slot.
