Nickname/name - PhantomOwl but you can call me Phan

Age - 18

steam ID - [U:1:126530388]

Online time and timezone - timezone: CEST online times: In work days im usually playing from 16:00 to 19:00, 20:00. On weekends i play in the morning from 12:00 to 3:00 or longer.

Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for - i usually play on dodgeball, but i sometimes go on hightower.

Do you have a microphone - yes but i talk with friends.

Previous experience as Admin or Moderator - I was a mod on gmod server but i only kicked players who chat spammed or voice chat abuse.

Do you have experience with administrating with SourceMod - No, but i would like to know how that works.

Why should we choose you to be part of our team - When i play i don't see admins very often. I almost always play with admins when someone calls them. I know that they have their lifes. im spending a lot of time on this dodgeball server and i hate when people akt dumb and they don't care what you say to them.

What i will do as an admin - I would start with warinings because slaying someone at first steal/block/team kill will make them leave or they would be mad because im admin abusing. But when someone would do these things more i would slay them. If they continue i would kick them. If he comes back on server i will ban him for 2 or more hours.
Same thing with chat spam and voice chat abuse/spam. Players hate when someone on server plays music, or he plays weird sounds. First i will warn. When he countinues i should mute him for 1-2 hours. Spam chat is annoying for a lot of players thats why admins gag them. First would be a warning, if countinues gag for 1-3 hours. I don't know the time for mutes/gags. I consider spam chat when someone talks like that:
Why
Do
You
Stand
There?

Spamming emojis is funny for some, but annoying for others, so for emoji spam i would warn, if continues gag for 2-4 hours. I've seen a hacker on dodgeball once and it was 2 years ago. But i can't say there will not be hackers. When someone clearly hacks i should ban him at least for 1 day, but i will know if i will get an admin.
Chat history: sometimes i type to much but im talking with someone. Emoji spam- it was 1 time 2017-06-08 and i had 1 gag 2017-04-22.

Well firstly, thanks @fanthom for being faster than me at getting the session/chat/etc information out. Prick. :scout1:

This is the Steam32ID: STEAM_0:0:63265194

I am aware that there are plenty of admins associated to Dodgeball #04, but I thought I would drop my opinion in here.

  • Firstly, chat seems clean enough, although there have been instances where you spammed quite a lot. Don't do that, that's your number one enemy. Talking a lot is fine, as long as you are not spamming or overusing caps.

  • Sessions are good, though I don't understand why there is so few of them. Weird if you ask me. If they are as they suggest, you really should be active daily on the server. (If you are playing daily, I apologise, it is your Dodgeball gameME profile that claims it, and that is practically the only information I can go off of.)

  • Your application seems a bit rushed. Not a lot of work put into it really. The information is mostly there yeah, but there is no real effort and dedication put into making it look nice and clean. I would also like you to expand on the "Why should you be chosen as a part of the team" and "What will be your general policies" sections, as those are the most important, ESPECIALLY the policies section since you are applying for a dodgeball server, which can be quite irritating and frustrating to play on sometimes. Have a look at some other accepted applications and you'll get an idea of what I mean.
I would start with warinings because slaying someone at first steal/block/team kill will make them leave or they would be mad because im admin abusing.

You are not admin abusing when slaying, or banning/gagging/muting/etc. You are an admin for a reason, and that is to stop the rule-breakers from messing around in the server and/or ruining the experience for others. That means if a person is stealing/blocking/team killing, or breaking any sort of rule, you should not be afraid to issue the appropriate punishment. Also, I am not implying warnings should not be a part of your policy, as every admin has their own way of dealing with the rule breakers. I am just stating that slaying a rule breaker(in this scenario) is completely justified. Him being mad and/or leaving is his problem.

I also agree what fanthom said, slaying means already giving a warning to the player not to do what he is doing again. There is no point in kicking him, waiting for him to reconnect, letting him do it again and then banning him.

And also, don't be afraid of issuing longer punishment, don't be too lenient. The more lenghty the punishment, the less likely the individual is going to come back and do it again.

For now, I will stay NEUTRAL. Dodgeball indeed always needs admins, and you are active, though due to your rushed application, and lack of information on the policies section, I've decided to give you that vote. I am willing to change it to a +1 if I see more information on your 'admin ways'.

Noot has already covered this topic; however, let's make it clear - it's not admin abuse. The majority of dodgeball admins slay on first offense because..
  1. Players are expected to know the rules. Prior playing on the server, players are greeted with rules that they have to accept, in order to avoid being kicked. Not to mention, the majority of admins use the "General Reminder: Stealing and blocking is prohibited!" bind at the start of every round, and there's an automatic "no stealing" reminder via chat.
  2. The majority of dodgeball admins perceive the first slay, followed by warnings, as the rule breaker's first warning.
And who cares if they leave or get mad? Players who openly disregard the rules, believing it doesn't apply to them, don't deserve to play in our servers.

I gave my friend my account and he cheated. I also have all his accounts his name is QeXy
And what game was it?

Btw, I agree with what @Cryptic said, in dodgeball servers, you must have no mercy and show no mercy, otherwise the players will just come back and do it again.

They should be feared to freaking breathe when you're on the server, let alone try to team kill or something else. :kappa:

Look at my friends list. I gave him account because he wanted to Play portal 2 , but he played CS:GO on cheats. I don't mind it because he gave me the money. And he is my beat friends.

It's not everything about the money now is it :/

At least it's not TF2.

What is this? Are we already mentoring him even though he just posted this application? Of course their policies will be perfect if we tell them what to write in their application, so can we leave the mentoring part to us when he actually gets accepted?

Unfortunatelly I cannot take your word on your story. Could you provide a screenshot of your "Your VAC and Game Bans" page to prove that it is indeed a VAC Ban from CS:GO?
Did you really accept money from your best friend to play CS:GO? Doesn't seem like a nice thing to do.
Your chatlog could improve a lot, there are occasional spams and quite a bit of annoying bind usages.
Your sessions aren't great either. You have a long session from time to time, but there are a lot of holes and very short sessions.
The application is rushed and unprofessional. Your SteamID is STEAM_0:0:63265194.

This is a -1 from me.

I apologize in advance for the side-track.

Klay, there's a difference between telling an applicant what to write, and advising an applicant when they're greatly mistaken. For instance, when we informed him that it's not admin abuse to slay on first offense, we weren't telling him what the correct procedure would be for a first offense. If anything, we were correcting his perspective towards our admins. If not, his perspective towards our admins would remain as abusive, in which they are not. Another example would be Noot encouraging him to extend his punishment times when necessary. Noot encouraging him to do so will not result in a perfect policy. You should be concerned if Noot was telling him his own hours, such as "first offense = x hours, second offense = x hours, etc". Now that would result in a perfect policy.

I apologize again for the side-track. Please, carry on.

You misunderstood me or I said it wrong. I let him play portal 2, and he played it, but he also played CS:GO on cheats. I didn't want the money from him. He does not pay me for playing the game. I let him my login and password for free because he wanted to try my games. He gave me the money because he felt bad. I didn't want it. Also i don't like CS so vac on this game don't matter for me.You wanted screen shot that i got vac on CS:GO so here you go.

KLAY EDIT: Removed screenshot as it contained sensitive information. It indeed proved, that the VAC ban is for csgo. Thanks

Also i have only long sessions. Yes i do, but i have explanation. I worked at project with friends so i had no time to play only once every 2-3 days on afternoon. I have a lot of free time now, and i will play everyday (In half of july i will play in mornings because on afternoon im going to help my dad with his work). My chat log improves. I used annoying emojis, someone in the game wanted emojis so i showed him, i know that i spammed it later, that was my bad. Sorry for posting wrong steam ID. Im not profesional at writing as you can see, and yes it was rushed. Last thing that i can say, I don't know how much time ban, mute, gag should last, so i added my numbers that can be corrected easily.

I've played with him before and I also agree with klay, I don't think he's cut out for admin atleast at the moment. Both myself and tbot would also like to see the sessions improve. -1 from me and -1 from tbot, mah mentor boii xd

Player did not cause any issues at the time I was playing with them but wasn't talking that much to begin with so nothing much to say other than the chatlog kinda improved.
Application is very rushed, no effort at all. I'm keeping my vote neutral.

I agree with lighty. Keeping it a neutral aswel.

Ahh, is this mine application for akod mod ? :kappa:
Need more effort for this application of yours. It's very rushed -1 from me.
