It just died naturally, yes. Happens from time to time. Quite a few Panda-Servers have died and some of them have revived after a couple months or even years of having no players. Maybe if you come back in another year it'll have players again. :D Maybe we could help it along with a map change...

From an outside perspective this sounds absolutely awful for new players. If I joined some random jailbreak server to play some jailbreak and the cell doors randomly opened I would never expect to just immediately get killed for seemingly no reason when trying to leave my cell.
