No. The gender is determined in the zygote. Roughly half of the spermatozoon carry an X chromosome and the other half an Y chromosome. They then join an ovum in the female. The resulting zygote either carries XX chromosomes (female) or XY chromosomes (male). Therefore the gender is determined as early as a single cell is formed, before it's even an embryo.
