The politically correct term is The Netherlands. Holland is only a part of the Netherlands: North-Holland and South-Holland, two counties in the west of the country. A lot of people call our country Holland because it is an long-standing misconception: the country used to be called "The United Hollands" and this term stuck with people from other countries.
