How do you manage to play that duo with your friend ? I tried so many times, but never had it. Either my friends or me end up soloing this duo.

From what I know every player has some sort of points in freak fortress, which I think you could check with !ff2next

If ya have Daft punk it will always be the person below you, and if you're friend isn't bellow you in that list you won't be able to be daft punk duo, I mean that's what I know though

yea i know that one, we always manage to have the same amount of points, either with that it doesn't work

Wait I should ask first, idk if it's here but can you choose which freak you are in the server?
haven't been that much in that server so I wouldn't know

Yep you can choose. I'm more asking to the admins or else tho, since nobody could answer me so far. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

If guy, who has more points than you and your friends have , picks/gets duo hales, it's takes next player from list.
It's just pure luck to get own friend to this. But you can increase your chances to get friend on duo by picking same hale using !ff2boss (Correct me, since I am not sure about this command, also of couse your friend need to have same amount of points as you have)

For me it always worked by simply getting the exact same amount of points as a buddy by resetting my points togheter with him. Later on then we just picked the boss like I pick the Golden Daft Punk he picks the silver daft punk in the /ff2boss list.
We always managed to get our bosses through that.

Well here's how the companion system works.

It first grabs the player with the highest amount of queue points.
When it seeks a companion, it finds the person with the 2nd highest queue points.

In my version, i did away with selection based on queue points, and made it completely random (and without losing their points).

If you want to guarantee your friend to be the companion boss if your're next to be boss, go to spectator as soon as you get killed, on the previous round. Once the next boss player is selected, join back a team, and there you have it, you and your friend will be the DUO.

So say Charlie has 100 queue points, Bob has 90 queue points, and Tyler has 80 queue points.

So Charlie wants his friend Tyler to be his companion of his duo boss.

Darwin is the current boss, and Charlie is the next boss afterwards. As soon as Charlie gets killed by the boss, he would join spectator immediately, to avoid having the 10 queue points added, and thus, guaranteeing Bob to be the next boss. Once Bob is made into a boss, Charlie can join back into the game, and therefore, it would be Charlie that's next to be boss, and Tyler would be his companion, as Charlie would still have 100 queue points and Tyler would now have 90 queue points.

This answer is the closest of all, except for the last part. I've already tested with a few friends and choosing the same hale doesn't work (might've changed since this research was from long time ago)

This is invalid since the !ff2boss listing ONLY GIVES ONE OF EACH DUO avaliable on the list.

This is kind of the same Skiffa said... But the problem is that thus message was too big for me to follow, so i stopped after "Bob" (lol fck me...)

So what you basically have to do is to be in the top listing of !ff2next. The one on the top has to choose the duo and there should be a good chance that they will be together. The only problem is, is that I'm not sure since the DUOS ARE GLITCHED. Choosing one of the duos might result into a solo hale where the hale is one of the duos. @Kevin I'm not sure if this is able to be fixed, but for the time being, try this.

Here's a TL ; DR of my post:

Next to be boss? Select the duo, and join spectator when the current boss kills you, until the next person becomes a boss, then rejoin red, so you can postpone your boss turn until the player you want them to be your companion is 2nd highest on the list.

Also, for every boss that's part of a multi-boss setup, there needs to be a total of 3 per boss - 1 boss player, 2 non-boss players for the first companion, and each subsequent companion needs 1 non-boss player per companion. If it can't find the minimum for a companion, it stops at the last boss that met this requirement.
