I wanted to suggest an idea I had, which could be used on any server, but I am suggesting it for Jailbreak in particular. Nostalgia November. What is Nostalgia November? Nostalgia November is an event in which older maps will be put temporarily into the pool. Although I say November, that would be excessive over the period of one month, and I am suggesting running it during the week of Thanksgiving, since many people will have off work, and many of panda's US players are students and will have a larger break from classes. TLDR: Panda community US JB will be able to revisit older jailbreak maps during November.

This thread will serve as feedback on how the event will be done.

There are two options for the community to pick on. What is for sure is:

• The event will take place in November 2025
• The event will be either be 1 - 2 weeks / weekends long
• Only 5-8 maps will be chosen

The two options you get to pick from is how the event will be hosted.

Option 1 - Maps are added to the map pool

The maps will be added to jailbreak's map pool temporarily. Players will then have access to nominate and vote the maps up on their own accord. Admins will not be forcing the maps to be played, it's purely community controlled. Subject to rtv and popular demand of what players want to play at the time.
This option is also available for a longer period of time, 1-2 weeks. After 1-2 weeks, the maps will be remove from the map pool.

Option 2 - Maps are hosted by admins on 1-2 weekends

The maps will not be selectable in the map pool by players, but force changed by admins who will host them on the weekends. Specific dates and times will be dependent on when an admin is available to do so, but I would expect somewhere around GMT 8pm - CST 3pm and onwards is when they would be hosted. I'd expect no more than 3 hours per weekend day.
It'll be limited spacing if the server fills up. If you don't get in, you may miss the maps hosted that weekend.
Only available on weekends. Rtv votes may be overuled by admin to force to next map hosted for event.

Any questions feel free to ask. Things can still be subject to change, but most of what is shown here is agreed upon by senior staff. It is the events first time, so whatever works or doesn't work we'll know for next time.

I'd rather it be added onto the map pool so players can enjoy the event whenever during the two weeks.

I dont even really want this but it would go against the entire point of the suggestion to just have the admins be able to host maps. Let us choose our own garbage maps!!

A decent suggestion. Maybe in the next time this event happens, subject to voting.
Cause honestly I'm not too confident in editing LR files.
