What is (In you opinion) *the* best weapon in JB? (1 Viewer)

This is something I've been wondering for awhile and curious to hear everyone else's opinions on, what do you think is the best weapon for either side?
 
For BLU its gotta be the shotgun, good damage, decent accuracy, what more could you ask?

In terms of melee weapons for a "solo run at warden" rebelling I'd say it's definitely the Boston basher. If you want to kill warden quickly you need to execute good damage and you need to be fast which is why this melee weapon works well.
Scout Boston basher pros:
  • Scout's walks speed
  • Bleed increases your damage to a total of 75 (150 DPS)
  • With scout's melee attack speed, you can get 2 hits in 1 second
Scout Boston basher cons:
  • Scout's health (may cause you to die before you even reach the warden)
If you have a coordinated group though the Wrap Assassin's baubles do a lot of damage when it's at least 3 or more scouts. The bauble does a base damage of 15 and a bleed damage of 40 in 8 seconds. If you have 3 scouts throwing baubles at the warden, you can get a total damage output of 165 (which already kills most classes) and that's without counting random crits or the guaranteed critical hit (If the bauble hits someone after 1 second of being in the air it guarantees a crit and deals a base damage of 40).
 
Not sure about BEST but one of my favorite weapons is

Flamethower
Can clear large crowds of rebellers and pairs really well with crits. If theres only one winner in a minigame like karts... then god have mercy on the losers.
Has airblast, great at stopping uber pushes for regular matches and warday
It doesnt require a lot of aim, so you can be in third person a lot of the match which is HUGE for awareness

theres more that I cant think of at the moment and also disclaimer this is all on blues side, flamethrower is... good I guess on red.
 
for reds 100% boston basher, if you hit yourself before hitting the peak of your jump it basically becomes a monkey's paw double jump, considering red scouts dont have a double jump this is SO useful, you can easily use it to throw off a blu's aim while rushing them, use it to skip certain parts in minigames (if you suck) aswell as get to certain areas skipping a route that would make it easier for blus to notice you, you're able to do this 2 seperate times before dying (56 dmg each time you hit yourself iirc) and not to mention how many times the bleed mechanic has gotten me a kill, for light classes it takes only three hits to kill a blu (unless they have regen) and sometimes that extra hit matters

basically it allows much more versatility and deals more dmg
 
red- boston basher, can easily catch blues off guard if they're zoned out, good bleed damage, and can make medics uber super fast, plus jump boost (especially on a tiny mann day)

blue- this ones tough to pick so im going to go between the shortstop and the rocket launcher
shortstop-its a complete demon with crits that you can melt anyone with
rocket launcher-it offers the damage and radius of something like the flame thrower but with the ability to get people at longer ranges
