First time actually posting something on here, and I'm fairly nervous, so I'll try to make a good impression.


Name/Nickname: Trash/Yin, although my name is Tyler in real life.

Online Times and timezone: During the Summer: Monday-Wednesday, I'll be on from 9 PM-3 AM EST, Thursday and Friday pretty much all day, and Saturday and Sunday 10PM- 3AM EST (This can vary based on my schedule changes). During School: Monday-Thursday 3 PM-10 PM EST, Friday-Saturday 10 PM- 4 AM EST, Sunday 8 PM - 12 AM EST.


Do you have a Microphone?: Yes, although not the greatest, planning on buying another one soon.


Previous experience in Admin/Mod: I've never been an admin on any server before, so this would be my first time being any sort of admin.


What Panda Community servers do you usually play on?: Mainly TX Dodgeball, although I will play on any of the US servers depending on how full they are.


Do you have experience with administrating with SourceMod?: I have no familiarity with the program, would be open to learn though!


Why should we choose you? After playing on the server for about a year and half, I've grown to love the community. Everyone is so friendly (with the exception of a few bad apples, of course), and willing to help each other. One of the reasons I applied is because I realized the shortage of admins we have on the US Dodgeball server, which leads to alot of people who ignore the rules, because there won't be any consequences. I would like to make sure these people get their punishment, so that the server can stay clean, but fun at the same time!


What will you do as Admin?: I have a low tolerance policy for those who steal, so 1 steal= an automatic slay. If they continue to steal, it will follow with a ban. As for those who micspam and chatspam, or insult, I will politely ask them to stop twice. If after the second time they continue to ignore me, it will be a gag or mute. Anyone who is suspected of hacking will be spectated accordingly, and will receive a ban based on if they are or are not. Overall, I want to make the server fun, and have it so that people can enjoy themselves, while obeying the rules.

I've been waiting for this application for awhile now. Since I don't really have a say anymore, I'll keep it short and simple -- with a little bit of training, I believe Tyler would make a great admin.

Hey Trash you finally applied!

Trash has played on Panda TX for a while now and has been a helpful member in that community.

1. I often hear Trash explaining the rules when another player dosen't fully understand. For example when a new player gets slain; he gets the warning and can be confused. I have seen Trash explain that to others.
2. He is pretty well known and quite a friendly player. I see him quite a lot on the server being helpful or just playing the game. He also follows the rules even when an admin is gone.
3. Trash already has good knowledge of the rules and understands them.

Anyway I give my support to you Trash. +1 Good luck.

Edit: One last thing can you post what your punishments would be like? You don't have too, but it helps.

Edit 2: Meant to switch to neutral learning towards +1 after what Luigi pointed out. Sorry for miscommunication. I also gave him a+1 before i asked for the punishments; I just forgot to change it to a neutral leaning towards +1.

I second the complimentary nature of the previous posts, Trash is a frequent player who knows the game well, and has seen the way admins handle things. TX Dodgeball is understaffed at this moment, so another active admin is much needed. I have work through the day, and Luigi is absent for now. Fan probably handles the most calls at this time.

Hi,

Thanks for applying for Admin, you have met all the mandatory requirements to apply. I have seen Trash play and he is known on the server, your sessions are great, along with the hours spent on the server, however I would like to point out a few things that you have done.

- Trash does enforces the rules which tells me you want to keep the server clean.

- There was a bug in the !hug system where the server would freeze when players typed !hug. After players realize that the !hug system was causing the server to freeze for a short moment of time, players began to abuse it as you decided to do so as well. You have done it numerous times and griefing is not allowed on the server. I had thought you knew better than this as I believed you had always followed the rules, however after catching you for stealing and this, this tells me that you have also broken some rules and kept it a secret from us. Many players record demos of rule breakers so don't think you are in the "safe" when an Admin is not online.

- Using swears in names bothers me and I would rename them right away, however using the "N" word is not acceptable. Again, you're better than this. I would rename you right away, but if this continues, I would ban you if you don't listen.

- Binds/swearing is acceptable in my books, however using binds like this....

"*DEAD* lets have pornhub anal : fucking crist dark give me pornhub anal or fuck my pornhub pussy"

Is not something you want in your chat. One time is allowed to me, but pressing that key numerous times to display this, does not display your chat "clean". You also swear to often, many Admins here swear but don't swear that often. Please reduce your cursing by a tad. Even when you see a hacker, you tend to swear when you see them. Overall, you do enforce the rules and try to keep the server clean, however you curse way to much, use binds such as above in your chat and griefed when the !hug system was buggy. Therefore my vote will be a -1 and so towards the end of this application.

Hey Luigi could you please help me out and provide a link to where you saw this in his chat. I've been looking through his chat, and I have not been able to find those binds.

Also, I do know Trash uses the N word. Though he does not that use it that much but he does. Trash to be honest you might need to cut back on saying that, as some people could take it the wrong way or take offense to that word. One last thing if you are still using those binds you need to cut back on using them, maybe even remove them (if they are as bad as this example).

So on that note just cut back on using offensive binds, swearing, or using the N word (ETC).

Hi Luigi, thanks for the reply. Heh, I knew my binds would come back to bite me someday. There are a couple things I would like to say, whether it matters I am not sure, but I will still note them anyway.

As far as the !hug exploit goes, I do admit I did use it from time to time, but I recognized quickly how annoying it would be to deal with as a player, so I stopped, and even before the ban, I tried to stop doing it as much as possible.

When it comes to using the N word, I never mean any sort of harm or anything like that when I use it, but I respect the fact that you told me to refrain from it instead of automatically gagging me like what has been done in the past. If you've been on the server lately however, or check the chat logs, you'll notice I cut down on using it quite a bit.

As for the binds, I don't really have an excuse for those, the only thing I can say is that I cut down on using certain binds, and have even removed or changed some of them.

Overall, like I said, I just wanted to clarify my actions, whether or not it has an effect was not my intent in replying. Have a good day!

you give him a +1 even though he doesnt even write his punishments? weird.

anyways you did not list the punishments/policies so i am wondering how you would punish players then? randomly?
as its a mandatory thing to list policies/punishments and you did not mention them even after @YourBiggestFan mentioned it i'm going to decline your app, even though of the positive feedback provided by others.
