"Reworked"? Pah.

This map is downright AWFUL. Every time, Reds rush the tiny room with the tiny corridor as the ONLY access point making it a shitshow of level 3 Sentries, ubered heavies and demos planting stickies to where the Hale dies in <20 seconds if lucky. I'd suggest somebody to edit this but in my opinion I'd rather it was removed.

Also idk who 'reworked' this map, but the previous was heaps better for VSH (the game mode it's intended for). In any case, I know I have some support for this, but also there will be numbers against me so I think we need a definitive answer for this map.

Indeed, all players just go to the same spot every time where hale just gets raped and has no chance, especially when pyros are on

Going to agree with that, the map turned into a farming point heaven for all reds. Hale has literally no chance if he tries to rush it.

As @Husky said, we can rework the reworked one.

This map is well liked but also hated. I think we can make everyone happy by making two entrances down to the camping spot which is at the moment, a clusterfuck for hale.

We can’t remove popular maps just cause people chose to camp. I agree that it makes the map incredibly difficult. And for some who hate the camping aspect it’s boring. But another entrance to that room is needed not a complete removal

But that's why I've made a vote? So the community gets to decide - I'm not ordering Kevin to remove the map, just voicing my opinion on the matter too.

Yes but majority of the community isn’t forums active. I bet this post gets no more than 20 votes from regulars. The map brings crowds of people to the server when it’s on. I truly hate that it is an “easy red” map but that doesn’t mean we need to remove it

Here's the re-reworked map *Clickity Click*
I would add screenshots, but at the moment I have to go do something and so I'm just typing this up quickly...I will add screenshots in another post if need be.


Changes include

1 of the water "vents" removed, it's the one beside the "scare" room and the room that has a glass wall that blocks you from going down

Added a new path to the deathhole, which is the main part, it starts in the water vent that was removed..

Minor improvements, clipping, small textures etc.

Removed the "scare room", it's still there but it won't activate pretty much.

I started up the map and think that should do the work. The altered way gives Hale a opportunity to enter the room and the barrels do a great work to give the Engineers time to build up their stuff. Defending that room should be a littler harder now with 2 ways.

Yes, in the last image, the barrels are breakable, and it is required for you to get up to the new room through the newly made water path by breaking the barrels, so you can get up.
In my opinion, the changes are nice, and that room that was added will indeed give the REDs a harder time defending the area, like @Furken said.

Everytime I'm a heavy for the entire duration of the map, with just 1 medic, I can easily get 250 points, cause you can trap the hale in the corridor and literally fuck out the hales intestines. This map is broken and has to be removed.

Bump, map should be Updated - Poll speaks for itself but instead of completely removing it you can replace it with a fixed version

Not really, think about medic + heavies combos watching every entrace, also put the engineers close to them with pyros.
I suggest making at least 3 entraces to help Hale.

Well I mean if you were active when this became a problem and linked your steam to your account I would've asked, other than that I don't have a way of getting contact :pepe:
