The plugin I'm talking about is the one where if you have a site in your name like "zannc hellcase.com" it would change it to "zannc". If you were to then go back into steam (probably a script) and change your name, it would come up with; "zannc changed name to zannc hellcase.com" and "zannc hellcase.com changed name to zannc".

Example ingame -

Should we make a rule as to ban people for "spamming the chat" by using this (script maybe) method.

Bump, considering that Stabbin said that it may not be the user's fault, I guess this can just be ignored?
Unless it is proven that it is infact the player is changing his name autmatically, this thread is pretty much useless.

Huh weird, I recently kicked someone for doing this.
I'd class it as a form of advertisement.

We need a proper rule for this? Maybe an extension to one current? As part of an example?
Suggestions welcome.

As Stabbin said, it appears to be a bug with the plugin. Having the player rejoin, for example by kicking them, usually fixes it.
