Good day, everybody. Some of you may already know me but not with this nickname (Matt-ers was my nickname, Matths is my actual one). So, I'm going to introduce myself.

Matth. It's a totally failed union between Matt, my irl name, and Math. I work with Maths everyday since 2016 because I'm studying Engineering at University.

- Your general online times and your timezone
My timezone is UTC+1 (Central European Time). I'm online almost everyday, from 5PM to 7PM as guaranteed time slot: the most played hours, indeed, where the server uses to reach its 24/24 users everyday. Sometimes I also play until 8.30 PM.

- Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for? Would you visit a broader range of servers in case of a report?
I always play on the VSH server, I really love it and I apply for it. Still if needed, I would visit other servers. I've got some experience on other servers, too.

- Do you have a microphone?
I do have a microphone, but of really bad quality unfortunately (@Pilon99 can confirm). Luckily that's not needed on VSH.

- Your previous experience as Admin or Moderator
I've happily been admin for this community in 2014-2015. I started as Trial Admin in Jailbreak , then I became Full Admin, and lastly I was promoted to Senior Admin: a total of 13 months of administration.
I will not talk about all the sheet that happened much time ago, not ingame but on the forums with Kevin (with whom I sincerely apologised in pvt), since it's past and both of us are mature now after almost 3 years.
Ingame I've always been impeccable, professional and rather strict, both as user and as admin. I stopped playing TF2 in 2015, then I restarted after 2 years. When I re-joined, some users still remembered of me as Admin and I felt so honoured and grateful to this community. That year of administration was really happy.

- Do you have experience with administrating with SourceMod?
I have experience (my 700 bans + 600 commbans can prove it ). I should remember the most important commands.

- Why should we choose you to be part of our team?
I don't ask you to chose me. I ask you to chose whoever can help @Le Captain Pootis and @P N N in administrating a server, the VSH one, which has become recently a difficult server where to play seriously. The actual admins -and I really esteem them, they know- can't play all the time, and when I play by afternoon/evening I basically never meet them.
Plus, I hate to !call admins, and that's something I do every 10 minutes on VSH, among spammers, AFKers and camping hales. I call, but admins are not online and the good users leave because of bad players. That's something which is happening very, very often.
Ingame there are many users who -I think- like me and appreciate my friendly still respectful attitude. I try to warn users about rules all the time, still 90% of them ignore me -obviously, I'm nobody important, why should they care of me?
I repeat, if you have any motivation in ignoring my admin app, be free to do it of course.
Just, please, help this community of VSH players. People are leaving the server, for some time or forever, as happened with my dear friend @Furken because of some disrespectful and aggressive players.
Lastly, I haven't got any ban in the last years, so I'm quite clean

- Finally, please briefly explain how you would do your job.
In VSH, I would warn/slap users for every srulebreaking. Then, I'd kick in case they keep ignoring me. In case they re-join and keep acting badly, I'd ban them for some time. If they have got previous ban(s), their bantime would increase for every new ban, up to the moment they really need a permaban.
Some actions don't require any warning/slap/kick. For example, nude porn sprays (there was one some days ago and no admin, not even full admins of other servers, came). Or, for example, racist insults or very very aggressive insults.
TF2 is a game, so you may know rules of the game or you may not (camping, teaming, afk, etc). That's a game.
But when it comes to something which is not related to game but to civilized and respectful way of living, I can't stand bad behaviour. I insist on politeness, and that's why I deeply condemn more insulters and similar than gaming rulebreakings. You may be a 6 y-o kid, you may be an adult Swiss fag (not you @Skorpieo ), still I want respect on the server.

Where do I begin?

You're an excellent, friendly and well-liked player on VSH. You're very active - your sessions looks good, you're mature - your chatlog looks good, you often utilize !call (Which you shouldn't be afraid of using by the way).

You've got 3 bans, which may look bad until you look at the date, 2014. I'd almost entirely diregard them as they're so old, but it's something to keep in mind. No gags, and no mutes.

Your application is very well-written, and I can tell you took your time with it, which is always appreciated. We could need someone to help PNN and myself out (And perhaps Skorpieo as well, who knows? ), as I've had to go inactive due to growing pressure from my educational institution, meaning I can't be as active as I'd like to be.

All in all, I'd love to see Matth return as an administrator on VSH, as he's a mature, active, professional and well-liked player. Imo there's not much to say other than that. With that being said, of course I'll be supporting. Good luck with the application, Matth.

Well now I’ve been put in this awkward position of repeating everything Pootis said (those who saw shoutbox a few days ago will understand what I mean)

I did not expect this Matth, nice!

The applicant is an overall nice person on the server. He enforces the rules all the time and he like using the «talk to admin» in chat telling me about afk’s in spawn. The awesome me always returns to spawn to have a look and the Saxton Hale kills me, end of story. When I get calls, I’m not surprised seeing that the reporter is Matth. You are not afraid using the !call and I like that. Yourchatlog is clean, and no lennies

Now over to the application;

Well first off, what a nice application. It’s easy to read, just black text on white background.
One thing I noticed was your punishments. You have probably seen me or Pootis taking action against the same afk hales time to time. How would you handle the same guy going; afk, «please kill me» or disconnecting followed up with re-joining server asap? This have been a hugh problem in my opinion, it is timewasting at it’s best.

I noticed your bans, but I don’t know anything about them and you got them a year before I joined Panda. That is something I can’t judge on, I will leave that to others.

It is a good thing that we have players applying for VSH admin now, both me and Pootis are busy IRL, but we do our best joining the VSH whenever we can. If there is something I missed, you can just look at Pootis’s post, I agree with all that.

Sorry mate. :brohug: It may sound like a joke, but it's something I really hate to do. We are there to play, and I can't stay there always taking away time to you and Pootis.

I got those bans -not even intentionally, did some freekills/teamkills on JB 'cause I was newbie - even before I became Trial Admin.
Since the day I applied for admin in 2014 and for the next 13 months (and up to now), I didn't got any other punishment as you know. So, if there were no problems with my bans when I applied initially 3.5 years ago, there shouldn't be now too.

True, I missed talking about them. They've got to be punished as well. One of the VSH rules is "Do your damage and don't waste time", which is valid for both REDs and BLUs. So, if you go as hale not resetting your queue points, I may kick you the first time, but if you keep doing it, I've got to ban you (talking about players who were active just few seconds before as REDs and then as Hale they go afk)
AFK Reds are way worse, because they give more health to hale and the team has to work more to kill Hale. AFK hales are surely good for REDs who can farm points and ok, nobody gets really damaged by this. But it's bad because, well:
You waste your time as Hale. How much time does the RED team take to kill you, even if you stand there as AFK? One minute? It's still one minute as minimum, including the respawn time. And it's all time that you take away from users who really want to play as Hale in that particular map. It's happened many times that I wanted to be hale in a map, the guy before me fails as Hale but meanwhile the map time is finishing and the next round is map change. Because of that guy I have to play as Hale in a map I don't want to, for example.
So, I may accept and pass over if you, as soon as you become Hale, you suicide instantly just take away 10 seconds of respawn. If you stay there AFK waiting for people to rape you, that's bad. Time is gold, we can't waste it. It's all part of the disrespect I talked about above.

Im also surprised that Matth made an application because he never said something ingame about this.

But i find it really awesome that he made one. Because the VSH Server gets more and more Toxic and PNN/Le Captain Pootis could use some help on the Server.

Matth is a really nice Guy, i cant remember that he ever insulted/mocked anyone. He knows the Rules of the Server and tries to remind them to other Players.
