General online times & time zones: I'm in PST so with that being said usually my times online are quite late. On a normal weekday I am usually on sometime past 8pm, though with my schedule this is subject to change. Weekends are also subject to change as my work hours shift but commonly will be at roughly the same time if not earlier.

Do you have a working microphone? Yes

Previous experience as Admin or Moderator:

Speaking purely from a TF2 perspective I have no experience; however, I have staffed several communities in other games such as Garry's Mod for the past 7 years, ranging from administrator to community manager in each. Usually these servers had 40+ people on them so you had to be on your game at all times.
If you would like to know specific communities I will happily provide them.

What would you say makes you a suitable candidate:

Activity during key/understaffed times: I am active when there is usually quite a bit of rulebreaking (late night) so I feel as though I will be able to provide a greater staff coverage during that time

Patience: One thing you really need as a staff member on any game is patience- TF2 is no different. I have that patience that is required when sorting out situations

Quick Learning: While I have not spent time dealing with the specific UI in Team Fortress I am able to learn quite quickly.

I've played jailbreak on TF2 for a very long time and want to make a positive impact in this community through upholding its rules.

Comms and Chat Spam (Using M/G for short)

1st Offence - Warn

2nd Offence - 12hr M/G

3rd Offence - 1 Day M/G

4th Offence - 3 Day M/G

5th Offence - 1 Week M/G

6th Offence - 1 Month M/G

7th Offence - Perm

Of course any slurs/other offensive things will lead to an immediate permanent mute/gag of the offending player (s)

Guardbans:

1st Offence - Warn/Slay (if needed for the slay)

2nd Offence - 120 min

3rd Offence - 240 min

4th Offence - 480min

5th Offence - Permanent


Spray Bans:

1st Offence - Warning

2nd Offence - Perm Spray Ban

MFK:

Accidental -

1st Offence - 360 Min Guard Ban

2nd Offence - Perm Guard Ban

Intentional -

1st Offence - Perm Guard Ban + 720 min server ban

I'll do the sits in descending order, starting with the first clip that is 1:49

1. The pyro throughout the entire clip is baiting constantly by being right next to the reds, likely a verbal warning for them. The bug engineer also keeps going back and forth baiting the medic so that would also apply to him- though that is not the crux of that scenario. This was not a valid question to be asked during trivia, and the second engineer freekilled whoever was recording (which would result in a warn/slay if first offence as well as a red respawn in this case)

2. That's MFK with intent by the pyro- perma guardban plus 720 minute server ban. I don't see anything else in this clip barring the turning on of FF by the warden but it was utilized to killer the MFKer

3. Oooookay there's a fair bit here: first thing is the elephant in the room aka the pyro that MFKed with intent- his punishment is again a permanent guard ban+ a 720 minute server ban. In that chat I also see malok dropping a racial slur, so he would receive a permanent chat mute for racism. Hiulet (I think thats his name, video quality is hard to make out) would also receive a warning for his chat assuming it was his first offence. Pinkbeard in the middle of the clip sounds like he says the same slur as malok which would give him the same punishment though since his mic clipped which cuts the first part of it out.

To add on to the second clip- This round is saveable by respawning the reds so I likely would respawn them and allow the round to continue as it was prior to the MFK

Solid Answers to the questions. Cant see anything at first glance that seems outwardly wrong.

Application looks good, but your glaring problem is you are generally very much unknown within the community and you have zero reports made and only 2 calladmins ever. I just dont know much about you to be able to give you a vote of confidence at this point.

Hey Kron, I've seen you on a fair amount of times.
Responses to the quiz are good. I have no issues there. Although what I can say is that you don't really have a presence in game. Not necessarily a bad thing, I just don't really see you giving out warnings or explaining rules in chat as and when it might be needed. I think you're a chill guy though.
So I'll go neutral here. Although if you get some reports in and improve your ingame presence I can see myself bumping it up to a +1.

This application rules, for a lot of reasons, I think youre awesome in game, youre so chill with your warnings and you have great sessions.
Your coverage and previous experience as staff is also appreciated, cultivating that side of the community during our peak season is incredibly important to the team.
Its obvious you care about this community and that prospect is very exciting, it means I can happily give you a chance in under review and be positive leading into it.

Obviously the issues others brought up are important, but I am confident you will settle that in under review, this is not a pass but me trusting that you will follow through on the reports youve been making recently.
I want more engagement from you, join the panda discord, talk more on suggestions that you feel strongly on (not everything), show your ingame self here and you'll win over a lot of staff.

Please keep it up and continue to do more, its stiff competition but you have what it takes to stand out.

I was tossing around between the options I had just because of the fact that I hadn’t really taken in your abilities yet.

But the recent report filed here shows really good awareness of a situation and how to take a closer look whilst in the moment. If you were an admin this likely could’ve gone a slightly different and better direction


Giving in a +1 under the assumption you’re able to pick apart what is and isn’t warranting of a guard ban. If you can get your name out there I can see it really working.

Hello Kron, it seems responses are mixed here, however I don't really feel strongly one way or another. I don't think I've seen you enough to really gather a strong opinion. The responses were nice, but I feel like I gotta see more first. I'll go ahead and go neutral, but I wish you luck.

Looking at reports generally gives me a good idea of how people handle situations and tell me if people understand the situations they report, but I obviously can't see any from you.

If this application manages to go under review please file more reports and I will be able to judge you fairly like the rest of the applicants, -1 for now.

While I realize I may have put myself in a not great situation not really reporting/calladmining much prior to submitting this application, since then I have been doing my best to show those that pointed that out that I do know the rules and can do so. I hope that my continued reporting and increased game/forum presence convinces some of the -s with that as a concern to +s.
