Ehm lol? This is stupid. Even if they were to add something like that theres no way of telling their age just by their voice.. For all you know they could be using a voice changer to sound like a little kid.

And theres a ingame mute option to deal with that. Same goes for TS3

Correct, but if they read the rules and see "Age limit for voice 14" they will fear they get banned by steam (kids...).

Know some servers with that rule, and there is nearly no baby micspam.

most likely no action against those rulebreakers will happen except occasional mute.

won't help at all, we tried this at the GFl servers, they just ignore the rule. even if you make it pop up in the mid of their screen. they aren't able to read it. compunch

Enforcing age limit for voice chat is useless, plugin wise it's impossible, there were few tryouts for "pitch" recognition plugins, total bust, "english only in mic chat" rule can be implemented.
Mic spam, russian language, klingon language prevention and muting annoying kids is at the discretion of staff.
You have powers, use them.

Well, a "only english in voice!chat" rule sound good. I want to know what i get insulted as by a little kid and thats not the case if it's crying in Russian.

In my opinion in normal chat it's better to allow all languages because it's an international server.
