Hey everyone.

I'm Le Captain Pootis, and I've got a few questions.

• Racism

Yesterday, in the VSH server, we had a little discussion about, when does it become 'racism'?
Some 'black people' may call eachother, 'nigga', just like some call eachother for 'homies', but that's one of my questions, is that allowed or is it taken as racism?

• Point-hunting

I'm not very sure, but it's like, 2 friends, one is the hale and the other one is, let's say, scout. The hale kills everyone but his friend, and at last, the scout ends up dealing 10k damage on the hale. Is that allowed?

• Steam names

Is it allowed to have a some kind racism or offensive name? I've met a few people who's had something with racism, or just in general offensive names. Is that a valid reason, to call an admin and get him kicked or something?

• Sexual sprays

I've seen a couple of people who have had some.. Sexual sprays (not going in details (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) and as we may know, there's a lot of young people like, 10, 11 and 12 year olds on the server, so should that be forbidden?

I do not allow any racism or other forms of discrimination. I don't agree with Skial on some fronts, but one thing that I do really agree with them on is their zero-tolerance policy on racism, which includes any usage of the word nigger or a form of it.

You saw how strict I was with Foxrider: when he called his friend a nigbear after I had explicitly warned him that I forbid any usage of it, he got a week silence. When he had nigbear in his name I slayed him and gave him 1 minute to change it or he could forget ever joining again.

It's not always racism when the word is used, but I forbid any usage of it because it is by its nature an offensive word; plus, I don't want actual offenses to be covered up with the same excuses. So I am always very strict on it. Good people will understand and just keep their usage of it outside of the server.

• Point-hunting

I'm not very sure, but it's like, 2 friends, one is the hale and the other one is, let's say, scout. The hale kills everyone but his friend, and at last, the scout ends up dealing 10k damage on the hale. Is that allowed?

Farming points is only forbidden when it wastes time. Wasting time is my keyword in a lot of things, including friendlies.

Hale has the right to decide who he kills first. If he wants to keep AFKers alive until last that is a moral issue, not a server rule. If he keeps his friend alive 'till last - something I do as well sometimes - then that is fine, so long as the friend he is not killing yet is shooting him and doing his damage quotum. If the friend is the last one alive and they're not killing each other / letting the last player farm points, that is a problem because it wastes time.

Farming points in itself is not really the problem, but as it always involves being friendly and usually involves wasting time, it becomes a problem pretty quickly in that sense. It's up to the active admin to see what should be done about it. If the last player is goombaing him effectively Hale dies within 10 seconds anyways so then it's not much of a big deal.

• Steam names

Is it allowed to have a some kind racism or offensive name? I've met a few people who's had something with racism, or just in general offensive names. Is that a valid reason, to call an admin and get him kicked or something?

Yes. Any people who have names with holocaust references, racism or discrimination will be asked to change it. It depends on the severity of the name, though.

• Sexual sprays

I've seen a couple of people who have had some.. Sexual sprays (not going in details (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) and as we may know, there's a lot of young people like, 10, 11 and 12 year olds on the server, so should that be forbidden?

Yes. If you ever see one, call someone in and/or make a screenshot. I know it's awkward to make a screen of it, but nobody but the admin you're reporting to has to see it.

Racism becomes racism when people use it to hurt others. For example, someone speaks on mic,sounds like a person of black origin, and then someone bursts out "YOU SOUND LIKE A NIGGER " that's racist. Or, calling someone names in arguments (e.g. "You're a stupid nigger/ shut up faggot")

2 people calling each other "mah nigga" is fine to me,as it refers to "bro" or "friend"

Point-hunting as you call it alligns itself with friendly-ing. Against server rules

Offensive steam names aren't mentioned in the rules, but anyone with a bit of common sense knows not to use them. After a warning,i usually kick them.

Last,sprays. You do need to go in detail tho, everyone has different standards. But a spray of 2 people having sex in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation(and others showing the same) are best not sprayed. Usually people spraying it are kids who try to be cool by spraying it. Ignore and move on.

In regards to kids playing, i really don't care how old they are and if they get offended by something small because of their age. Old enough to play games = old enough to deal with shit happening in those games. Does the gta series have child-friendly mods? No! Because kids shouldn't be playing shooter games,they should be playing with hotwheels or lego!

But that's just like, my opinion man.

Alright, understandable. I don't have anything against the kids who play here, I just mentioned them regarding the porn spray issue, that many apply them on walls etc.

But yeah, then there's the different admins point of view. EvoWarrior5 does not tolerate anything connected to racism at all, however Kitty Cat does, somehow (mah nigga etc)

But if you want to go in details with the porn sprays:
Earlier today I saw a couple of sexual sprays. One of them was a picture of a girl fingering herself. And as I mentioned earlier, there's kids who play here and yeah. But then, is pictures of naked women allowed to be sprayed, or does that count as pornographic aswell?

I remove and warn for any spray that involves nudity (so sprays that overtly show genitals) and sprays that contain sex.

I mostly leave sprays that are not as bad, such as a woman sensually lying in bed but still wearing clothing to cover up enough. However, these sprays still count as titillation (intentionally trying to get others a little excited), so if someone is disturbed I would remove those as well, and ask the person to change their spray.

Regarding anything (sprays, insults, steam names), there are always cases in which people just react too heavily for something too little. It's not like I always listen to people who are apparently disturbed by something, I will sometimes just tell people to deal with what is going on if it's too little to take action for.

The border between what is allowed and what is not is hard to define. There are always nuances and different situations to account for. I mostly feel like I have my policies straight in my head, but there are always cases that make me doubt myself.
