Which of our servers do you usually play on and wish to apply for? Would you visit a broader range of servers in case of a report?

I would like to apply for admin on the FF2 TX server since I play on it the most. I don’t know much about the other servers, but I would at least try to join others when needed.


Do you have a microphone?

Yes I do, but I rarely use it. However, I sometimes use it to tell people to follow rules in some dire situations.


Your previous experience as Admin or Moderator

I don’t have any previous or current experience with administering a server.


Do you have experience with administrating with Source Mod?

Due to not having any experience with administering, I don’t have a clue on how to use most Source Mod commands. On the other side of things, I’m a quick learner and, with the help of another admin or mentor, I can pick up on it easily.


Why should we choose you to be part of our team?

I would like to help the server be more peaceful for others to enjoy the game without other people coming to rule breakers. By allowing me to join the team, you can depend on me to keep the server safe and exterminate those rule breakers. As of right now, Geronimo seems to be the only admin who can make it on the server in times of need and unfortunately he is not enough to keep the server under control.



Finally, please briefly explain how you would do your job, e.g. a general overview


Third-Party Hacking Client: Any suspicion will be observed first before any punishment is placed. If I have deemed the person as hacking or cheating, will a permanent ban will be slammed down with no warning.


Inappropriate Spray and/or Name: I would warn them to change the spray/name. After 2-3 warnings, they will be kicked, then ban for 12 hours, 1 day, and so on.


AFK People: If not responsive with either mic, movement, or chat, then they will be time bombed. If they proceed to still be AFK soon after, they will be kicked with the reason around being not in Spectator and to join it if they are AFK. If they then keep rejoining to be AFK will result a ban for 1 day and so on.


Abusing the /call: If the call was just outright idiotic or false, they will be banned for 1 day, a week, and so forth if needed.


Insulting, Spamming, Overusing Capitals, Foreign Language, Micspamming, Ghosting: I will warn them, then a gag/mute for 2-4 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, and so on.


Teaming, Camping, Hiding, Being Useless:I will warn for whoever is doing these, then timebomb and if it continues then they will be kicked, if he/she comes back and doesn't bother the warning and still go at it, then they will be possibly banned for 1 day and so on.

Punishments seem reasonable, you have been asking questions regarding how moderation works, you try to enforce the rules as best as you can. You also alert me, or another admin when there's someone that misbehaves and we're not on.

I've never had a problem with wings. He does enforce the rules & lets other admins know when something is wrong.
Well written app & I have no problem putting my trust in him to run the server.

Wings had been most excellent with directly telling me about rule breakers and asking many questions on whether what is allowed or not allowed. Having another admin will greatly help, especially currently, and Wings is someone who I would choose for it. Definitely a +1 from me.

I've been observing the applicant under the microscope recently to get a better sense of how he handles situations and whatnot, but as the application is near flawless, I find myself without a lot of words. Therefore, I will try my best to pick apart everything I am given.

Regarding the application, everything seems to be in order. The times when you can be on seem more than adequate, you have a mic (While not necessary can help greatly for those who don't read the chat), and you seem to be confident in the fact that you can quickly pick up on Source Mod. All good things to keep note of.

Punishment wise, you seem to either be very observant when admins punish players or clever by looking through SB for average times (Or you just picked them out from the top of your head). Either way, the times are accurate to what I believe most admins follow and the methods employed are also similar, for that I applaud you. Someone who knows how to use his/her resources is definitely fit for being an admin, so don't take my initial comment as a degrading or bad one.
My only actual jarring comment would be that you seem to be a bit rough for people who are camping/stalling. 1 day is quite extreme, though since you backed it up with a kick prior to the ban, I'll turn a blind eye.
Obviously, the best way to understand punishments better is through experience, so if you are to become an admin, you will most likely be learning different ways to handle situations.

It would be hard for me to cut my comment short here, so I'll continue past the application and more towards you.
Your sessions and game time are consistent. You are on almost daily for upwards of 2 hours, which is definitely a plus. Something that seems to be a thing of the past now is that you'd spend minimal time (less than 10 minutes) on the server AFK. It's as though you were trying to fill a gap in the days, but regarding that your sessions are alright as is, it doesn't really matter that this used to happen.

Now onto the nitty gritty side of things, your chat.
I decided to take the time to cross check your chat in correlation to Geronimo's chat to see where you were picking up his slack :^)
All jokes aside, I believe that you were being efficient at times with Gero, trading off who would be calling out a person and such, which is good. This indicates that you have built a good relationship with an admin, one that surpasses a "Rulebreakers, help!" sort of deal.
Generally though, your chat seems fine. You are casual with the other players and that's good because I know admins such as myself become a little stuck-up when applying, in a way trying to puff their chest. Good to see that you aren't doing that.
Now that I've said that, I'm going to completely contradict what I just laid out. You may be too casual, letting yourself go at times. I'm not a great people person so I can't make a perfect observation, but you might be blending in with the crowd too well. This strikes me as a problem because I don't want to let you become a victim of being ignored, even if you have a fancy coloured admin tag. This could lead to a great influx of bans/comms which, yes, might be needed, but may be unnecessary. My example of this is that you have to at times get the players attention by putting his/her name in the chat several times. This can be easily mended by possibly boldening up your text (Figuratively). I may also be wrong that once you become an admin and your name becomes more easy to read, you will be listened to more often than not. I haven't played a whole lot with you recently so I can't say that my observation is 100%, but it is reasonable enough for me to declare it.

My closing thoughts are that I've known this applicant for quite some time and took note awhile ago that he wanted to step up to become an admin. While his initial intentions were not known to me, the idea of him becoming an admin was there. I don't want to show a bias due to knowing the applicant for some time, and I have always tried to avoid that with previous applicants as well, so I think it is only fair to judge him on what I have written so far.
With that in mind, I've only been saying nice things, so I think that it is fair to drop the fourth and final +1 here. Best of luck, Wings

I will unfortunately have to change my +1 to a -1. As I and my fellow admins have said, he would make a great admin. But now Wings, to me, is not ready to be an Admin. It's like uncooked bread, just needs some more time in the oven. He isn't quick to enforce and his sessions are slowly dying down. He also needs to get more use to the rules, as sometimes he just doesn't enforce them.

Some other things I have noticed about Wings is that he is also slowly not caring about FF2 TX or Panda-Community as a whole. And also to go back to what @Nim-os said, Wings is too casual. He doesn't try to make himself dominate over people. Giving the -1 is hard because Wings is my friend, and FF2 TX needs more active admins.
