Good evening everybody.
Some regular users and admins on VSH have reported an issue to me, about which I agree. The problem is related to Pyros being too annoying and time-wasting, and this discourages people from playing as Hale when there are many pyros online.

I've talked with the other members of the team, and all of us 6 VSH Admins (@iceviet , @Le Captain Pootis , @P N N , Me, @Roar , @Magglet ) agree on suggesting this easy solution:

"Remove the perks from Flare Gun, Festive Flare Gun and Detonator", keeping them only for Scorch Shot.

Other regulars on VSH (I.e. @Furken etc) can confirm by majority what we admins suggested?

If you @Kevin agree and then decide to apply this change, we would appreciate it so much (so, No class limits required).
If you won't, then it's ok. More than taking the initiative once, I can't do xD
My job was just reporting many users' bad feeling on Pyro's disturbing powers.

That's something harder to do for Kevin. We had other possible good suggestions (i.e. 50 ammo per airblast);
Still, the easiest change, on which every vsh admin agrees, and that would solve the problem of flying "solly" pyros being too annoying/powerful, is the one we thought above. We could start from this and see how it goes :)

Rage already builds with airblasts, but it's not enough. If we make it more then the Hale will be raging for most enemies as he could jump at Pyros to build it and use it for everyone else. Removal of flare jumping is the easiest and most effective way.

Fine, the pyro will remain able to continuesly push the hale away and be annoying as fuck, but atleast his ability to just jump away and get more ammo and health will be removed. With that being said, supporting this.

think that this is harder to do but might be a good idea.
Why don't you make it so if you have the flare gun/festive/ or detonator equipped, it forces you to have phlog? I think removing the flares stats will make it worse, because then pyros who use phlog (or be like me, and use flaregun + slapper/back scratcher) will have zero mobility, and thus dying a lot more. I get why you guys hate the flare gun with the flamethrower, but if you do remove the stats it will be put in the almost never used class of weapons and funny or meme pyros can't even meme anymore because their 1 way of mobility is gone. before you guys remove stuff off of weapons, think what its going to impact first, and if it does, then figure out a better solution (like forced to use phlog if you have flare) that's just my point on it, but you guys need to think of everything that is going to happen when you just basically remove the flare guns from the game.

Let me think.. done. Remove those perks.
Let me remind you this is VSH and not FF2. It is a well used class on VSH, no one meme around as pyro.

I know its VSH, you guys have always done this to me like I don't deserve to post on any VSH post or something because I play FF2. I speak from a FF2 perspective and a VSH perspective, I did play VSH a lot when I first started this game (did VSH for like 2-3 years) and I know that pyro with flaregun and flamethrower is very annoying. @P N N did you read the first part of my post? doing that is a better option than making pyro have 14 out of 22 useless weapons in this mode.

I knew you would have hard feelings about my post, but did not mean to do so.

On VSH we don't have memepyros, only annoying ones. I belive we have had this discussion for 6 months in the VSH community now. The VSH team also talked about different solutions, and the solution Matth stated above is the one we would prefer.

The first part you mentioned is a great one, I agree. This will also take more time for Kevin to make. Therefore we would like those weapons to lose some of their perks, because it is easier to fix and will help a lot.

Why do you feel the need to edit or argue a post which has been agreed on by 6 admins with over 150+ days of play time who have all discussed and agreed upon the solution. Yet it is open to vsh player inputs but you haven't played ff2 since October 7th 2017, you haven't played vsh in so long there are no logs of you ever joining. All you are doing at this point is shit posting goose.
 
@Magglet I've never played VSH on panda? i didn't even play on panda till 2017. The servers I played on for VSH was mainly skial. @P N N I understand what you are coming from and that it would be harder for kevin to do that, but I still think its a better option just because it doesnt make 2 weapons and 1 reskin added to the useless list, but no matter what its kevin's decision.

Does any regular VSH user have final considerations about the suggestion above?
 
What would change tho? Every pyro goes to scorch shot and won't you have the same as before?
Scorch shot is way more annoying then flareguns/detonators since they actually push poeple away.
In my eyes its even more annoying then constanly using airblast?

Well ye, that weapon can push hales away if you have good aim. But the different distance/power of its super jump is an important point, relatively to other flareguns. Actually some pyros act like soldiers flying around from two poles of the maps. They can be more annoying, reaching ammo and health easily.
Scorch Shot is the minimum required for self defense, but with small jump so that you don't play as a beach :3
 
If you play on weaponsdepot, as pyro with scorch shot, full ammo etc, and camp in those hallways, you can get so much damage by doing not so much, it also can consume alot of time playing like that. So its not much of a improvement by removing those perks in my eyes.

After many have pushed their input into it, I should say something as well. I mostly agree with what everyone said but it wont fix the problem in the end if we only short Pyro's mobility.

Pyro will still be easy to play even If we limit the pistols, 2 experienced Pyros are enough to be a huge annoyance for Hale.
On top of that I see lately a rise of Pyros because of the misplace of certain class limits, which forces players into different classes , thus 7 Pyros at peak (the most I've seen yet, it's ridiculous) , it isn't fun for a player which plays Pyro or other classes which requires accuracy. It also kills the option to deal actual damage and not to mess around with random airblasts which can kill fellow teammates as well.

I would also add a class limit of 4 Pyros as well.
