The Elo system is mostly used by Players to have a quick first glance at someones skill Level in mge.
But it's also being used to have a competitive aspect on MGE by a lot of players on Panda.
As such a way to ruin this system should not be allowed in my opinion.
Recently I have gotten reports of people making multiple accounts and using them to farm each others ELO:
For example two Players each create accounts.
Each of them logs into one of their alternate accounts, after that they are both joining the same arena letting the first person win the whole time elo up. To prevent only winning against a single player hundreds of times, elo stops giving you elo after you are arount 400 elo higher then your opponent, If they reach that amount they just switch sides but that this time the person with an already high account switches to another alternate account. Resulting in both a equal high account and starting from scratch again with higher and higher elo.
This is one Method of people abusing the ELO-System with alternate accounts.
(I do have evidence of two Higher ranked Players already doing this to farm elo)
Another way is by simply already being very skilled and then just creating an alternate account which allowes them to to just play against way worse people to gain elo again making people of lower ranking loose ELO because they think that the player is of the same skill level despite just being an alternate account. After that they can just let a friend farm that Account for a quick elo boost.
With these methods you can first farm ELO, drain elo of lower ranked players and also avoid being noticed that they are too good and ruining fun for less skilled players that want to play of equal skills.
Because of the reasons mentioned above I think Alternate accounts should not be allowed on mge servers anymore.
