Why should we choose you?: I try to be as friendly as possible, and have a good time with everyone else. I enjoy when others have fun, as well as when we converse. I love the Dodgeball community, and dislike when people get on and are very rude.

What will you do as Admin?: I will make sure people follow rules and guidelines, by properly explaining to new and old players what they did wrong, and punishing accordingly. Slaying for steals, muting spammers, banning racial slurs, and taking care of the Community. I will respond to calls for admins, and actively help members who dont know the rules, to learn them, aswell as punish those who choose to ignore them. All in all I want the community to have fun without worrying about people coming on and messing up the game for them.

Since I am a regular on US Dodgeball servers and I have experience with applications, I feel it would be useful to give some input.

First off, which DB server are you applying for? You have a total playtime of 8 days and 05:39:04 hours on the TX server, and 02:57:09 hours on the NY server. You can only apply for the TX server since you need a minimum of 3days of playing time on the servers you are applying for.

Slaying for steals, muting spammers, banning racial slurs, and taking care of the Community. I will respond to calls for admins, and actively help members who dont know the rules, to learn them, aswell as punish those who choose to ignore them.

An admin's job is not as straight forward as it seems. There's specific instructions that admins follow for punishing players, for example having to ban a player for 12 hours because you've slayed that player twice before. Perhaps list out what you would do for each rule so that the admins can see that you have experience with the rules and how they're enforced. It would also make getting a feel for the job much easier. To help you out, I would look at other applications or ask some DB admins (not to the point of bothering them).

I try to be as friendly as possible, and have a good time with everyone else. I enjoy when others have fun, as well as when we converse. I love the Dodgeball community, and dislike when people get on and are very rude.

I admire your dedication to make the server fun for others, and how you are generally a friendly and outgoing person, but that's describing your qualities, not why you should become an admin.

Having experience on any server, specifically DB servers, is extremely beneficial. It's good that you have experience and not everyone has it.

Chat log

Your chat is not horrible, but can be improved. There are some binds here and there along with an enormous amount of commands. You can put a "/" instead of a "!" to prevent them from being displayed in chat.

Pros:

- You have experience, which is super useful.
- Good amount of playtime on the TX server, maybe not on the NY server.
- You admire the community and want to help make it better for everyone.

Things to be fixed/change:

- List out some of the rules and what you would do for each one so that the admins can see that you have a fair bit of knowledge.
- Room for improvements with your chat, put "/" instead of "!" for each command so that it doesn't display in chat and clog up your chat record, and maybe try not to use binds, not that it's a problem anyway.
- Make your case as to why you should become admin, not by listing your qualities.

My experience playing with the user has mixed reviews from me:

While there have been fun had playing with him, he can be a little aggressive in his tone towards players and even attacking to me about my past failed admin application (which I open admit and understand why it was denied)
He does this along with another user, so it might be a case of him trying to go along with what seemed like a joke? Not really sure.

He is also very aggressive towards younger users who use the mic.

Generally a kind of sarcastic and I wouldn't say rude, but he leans in that direction for me.

To clarify my "aggressiveness", shortly after joining, cloud and I had a disagreement which went back and forth, before he claimed to have muted me, someone brought up his past application and stated something, which we then discussed and joked about in humor to be funny about how he "muted me." As towards younger users, I generally ask them not to use the mic as it either has tons of background noise or they are being annoying. Several of which i have called admins for.

List out some of the rules and what you would do for each one so that the admins can see that you have a fair bit of knowledge.

For Comms, punishment is warning, 2 hours, 4 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 1 week, Perm. For Stealing, it's Warning, 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, Perm. For sprays, warning them, if they do not fix the spray its a spray ban. As for Hackers, A demo will be made and they will be Perma'd.

Make your case as to why you should become admin, not by listing your qualities.

I like the community, and want players to not have to worry about people causing trouble. Many times while playing, there will be one player that insists on stealing or mic spamming, causing others to leave. Often times, no admins will be on to help the issue, so players will take advantage of this. I have been playing for years, and this has always been a problem, having another admin on would help stop this.

I have no objections to people who apply for staff, but there are certain qualities in your mic behavior that raise flags for me.
If you can calm the outright spam, and ear rape you dish out regularly, I'd definitely be more supportive.

From my personal experience on the server Cashews is normally a respectful player, tries not to steal, et cetera.

He has found the exact ban / comm times, so cheers to resourcefulness.
Also has good reason to apply, taking care of those greedy stealers, and other rulebreakers is always needed.
One more potential hacker banner on guard as well.

I remain neutral until there is further submissions from other staff.

The stealing ban was false, Dio and Asuna were arguing with me, Nation and i were statue-ing together, and she banned me for it. I didn't try to repeal it because it was overnight.

If you can calm the outright spam, and ear rape you dish out regularly, I'd definitely be more supportive.

I do apologize for the mic issue, I recently got a new mic, and have been testing out its functionality, as well as how loud it is. I tend to talk a lot, so I apologize if it is coming out as spam.

Well. You came around when Nation was still active on TX dodgeball. Except that I'm pretty sure it wasn't called TX dodgeball back then, or maybe I'm having flashbacks from other dodgeball servers... Although like Prich has already said. Your sessions only just started improving, and I really haven't seen anyone named Cashews from the time of four weeks and back further. I only started recently noticing your involvement in the dodgeball community around a week and a half ago.

Other than those complaints I have on you. You could be a pretty decent dodgeball admin. You have a good talkative voice to you. A little bit too much though although who am I to judge about that? Kind of like me except I do not have access to a mic. ;-; I haven't seen you being too loud or screaming on the mic so far. Only in some parts when you're speaking. I find you using a slightly louder tone of voice. Although not as much as Prich has stated. Which means possible improvement? Or maybe I haven't witnessed such a thing occur when I'm around. You know the rules and most likely learned from your mistakes if you did ever steal. And that's pretty much it for that.

There's not much to say that's not repeating what Dominoose, Cloud Ninja, and Pricholas have said. Other than the following sentences below.

• Consider also spending time in the NY DB Server. It might serve useful to you later on in the future if you happen to be accepted as admin.
• Consider spending time in all of our panda servers. They're great servers and mini communities inside. (You don't have to. Just a nice little panda advertisement for this reply).
• Please do not be hindered from our slight restriction to your will to speak in the mic. Please feel free to speak, but not too intensely and so commonly.

Hello. Sometime on Sunday, Cashews asked me if he should be admin as he would like to be admin but he wasn't sure on it. I told him that he can apply if he really would like to and that brings us here.

I really don't have much to say other than to repeat what the others have said on this app. I have been conflicted between which rating I would give the past few days for the following reasons.
(Keep in mind I will be mentioning something that could start something but it's to get my point across and isn't all too offensive, I will also mention when I will be talking about it.)

Positive - In-game and application
- In game, he is overall a friendly player, he is fun to talk to and play with. He is EXTREMELY vocal on mic and clear to understand. He has a mostly clean chat (excluding the small amount of swearing which isn't common). He is someone that I personally would say other people like to be around. He is well known and has a good reputation among other players (with the exception being what I will talk about in the negative side of things).

- Now to talk about the application. He is friendly to new players and treats them like any other well respected individual on the server (from what I have seen). He decently enforces the rules and is decently active but his sessions are somewhat inconsistent, but only a little bit. His application is somewhat decently made showing he has interest in admin but would be okay if he didn't get admin which, to me, shows that he is flexible and is the "go with the flow" type of person, which he really is.

Negative - In-game and application
So, to start off, he is a bit casually sarcastic, it isn't completely over the top or the whole "I COULDN'T TELL", it's more of the whole not in the mood that day, didn't mean to say it. Another thing is that he can be a bit defensive. For example

but it doesn't happen all that often in game, but it is still present. (THIS IS THE THING THAT I'M GOING TO TALK ABOUT, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED DON'T GET MAD AT ME) So, ever since the app has been posted, a few arguments have sparked. I won't say who the other person(s) were or who started it, but it has happened. They have been short and sweet and lasted only a few minutes thankfully. And since these arguments, Cashews (and other players) would talk behind the other person's/people's back(s). I am going to say that it is unprofessional on his part even if it was just a few words of disagreement and a few crude things. (after re-reading the application and comments for the fifth time, I saw this which is part of it)

I'm going to address a couple things from Plastic Eating Utensil's feedback, and share my personal perspective of Cashews.

There's nothing wrong about clarifying a previous ban, especially when the player deems it unjustified, in which it was. Back in 2015, when Dio and Asuna were Admins, players would actually get punished for walling, since walling wasn't clearly addressed under the rules at the time, even though there was an unspoken rule that it was allowed.

And since these arguments, Cashews (and other players) would talk behind the other person's/people's back(s). I am going to say that it is unprofessional on his part even if it was just a few words of disagreement and a few crude things.

If this is in regards to last night, I'd like to give some background information for the players who weren't there. Someone stole a rocket, and another player jokingly stated they're going to record a demo and report them as Cloud would. Next thing you know, the majority of the server is shit-talking Cloud, saying how he's a hypocrite for reporting rule-breakers when he's a rule-breaker himself, and how he's targeting specific players, threatening he's going to keep recording them until he's gathered demos that'll get them banned. Another player even called him a Nazi. The only thing Cashews said about Cloud was that he felt Cloud is rude to him, and that what Cloud said in regards to him being aggressive towards younger mic users was false because he'd only confront mic users with shitty mics. Personally, I find nothing wrong with calling another player rude. In comparison to what all the other players said, Cashews should be your least concern. It seems like shit-talking Cloud is a common thing on the server, which shouldn't be tolerated. I don't know how long this has been going on for, but it needs to stop. I remember joining the server over two weeks ago, to find myself hearing and reading players insult Cloud and the Panda server, and you, Plastic Eating Utensil, not doing anything about it. I'm going to stop right there because this is getting off track and I don't want to throw anymore names under the bus.

Back to Cashews. I believe Panda needs another Admin who's really vocal and straight-forward. From my experience, being a vocal Admin helps get the point across to players more efficiently because players can't say, "Sorry, I didn't see what you said", and players tend to take you more seriously. Take Squall for instance, hardly anyone would rule-break under his watch or want to argue with him. Also, I think Panda needs more Admins in general because some of the current Admins can't get on as much as they used to, which is fine because we all have our own personal lives, but having more Admins means more coverage.

But I was merely expressing what I thought was right or at least something relevant to what I thought would help as it was simply my perspective and experience, so if it is wrong, feel free to correct me. I stated how I would do so in a response, and as for minor punishments,

Team killing will result in warn, kick, and then the same as stealing.

Offensive profiles, sprays, and admin impersonation will be dealt with by warning the player, spray banning them in the case of sprays, and kicking them. I have never, or rarely seen someone get in trouble for this other than the sprays.

Exploiting the map will result in a warn, then kick, then banned for 4 hours, if repeated, 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, and perm.

Abuse of the !call, I have never seen someone get banned for this, so I am unsure how to handle it other than a kick, then 4 hour ban.

Avoiding Punishment, will result in a 1-2 week ban depending on what the punishment was, Creating an Alternate account will result in (As far as I have been Told) perm of both accounts.

Ddos (or similar) will result in a perm.

Scamming will result in Perm.

Blocking will be dealt with the same as Stealing.

Orbiting for to long will be a slap and warning, then kick. If repeated, further action will be taken.

To clarify, I have no issue with the other person, we argued, it resolved. But, continuously each time I was on with him, he would be rude, we talked and had laughs. When others talked about him, I stated that he was rude to me, and I did not think he liked me. Having a disagreement is in no way unprofessional, unless it gets uncivil. Multiple times, The admin has also stated these "crude" comments about the person, and how they couldn't believe they were on their friends list.

So, sorry about earlier and the wreck of a post, I have been stressed out and tired and not here today. Because of so, let me explain a few things. The sarcasm and swearing could've been another player talking over you which is primarily where I heard it happen and I can't tell who is talking when everyone else is. I over thought the "regarding the application" parts simply because I wanted to say something and I didn't know how to say it, everything else however is good. And the part where I talked about being vague, i meant to say something along the lines of expanding how you would do things rather than to say what i did which you did cover (thank you). Another thing is that again, in my personal opinion, being defensive is and isn't bad, it can just be taken wrong if talking to the right person but I hardly see it in game and even less on the forums so that's a good thing. I guess I'm being a bit of a hypocrite by saying what I did earlier. Again, I am and have been tired and haven't been thinking straight. I might delete and redo my post to edit the parts I messed up on (if that's ok). I'm sorry for the wreck of my post, I've just had one of those days and thought responding to admin applications was a good idea. My best regards. I've noticed this myself lately, despite Cloud not being the only user actively making reports.
It is just silly to hate on anybody for doing positive work for the community.
You can get web banned via player report from ANYBODY! lmfao


Btw @Cashews when I put a "eh" next to your ban from 2015, that was a good sign it wouldn't matter whatsoever.
No need to explain a ban from almost three years ago, regardless of how, who, what and why.

You will also be provided with all punishments / ban times if you are accepted, so you aren't expected to be so elaborate with the app.
You have already covered most of the main punishments anyway, so nothing should be a huge surprise.
Some admins use different times for different rules, but we all use a similar guideline based on prior bans.

My review will remain neutral, I'd like to see your sessions and overall server time continue to rise.
As Cryptic stated, we could certainly use more staff for higher consistency with active admins.
I see way less calls go unhandled with five staff on TX. Spoon and Spanky both help tremendously.

If you are genuine about your application then I conclude you might come back to apply again if you are declined.

I would definitely consider changing my review from a neutral to a +1. Cashews seems like he enjoys his time spent on the server.
He has also bumped up his server time to almost 300 hours, which is well beyond the 72 minimum. He has seen myself and other staff handle enough situations by now I think he would manage well. He has also significantly improved his microphone behavior. I can't vouch for how he acts when myself or other admins are not present, but whenever I've been on he presents himself in a positive manner.
Not trying to "bump" but it has been over a month since the last post.
