I've been playing a bit of VSH again for the first time in a while and the knockback is certainly more powerful than it used to. I haven't experienced too great difficulties while playing Hale myself but I'm coming around more to the viewpoint that a minor reduction might prove necessary.

If you witnessed how it was today, a sunday afternoon where everyone were there, all 23 enemies, 3 engineers, 4 snipers, 3 pyros and 3 medics and 10 more players, in the vulcanic map, you'd realise how ridiculously hard it was. I've never given up on being hale before, but I had to today. It was uncomprehensably stupid amounts of knockback that kept me away from them.

And if one of the best VSH players are struggling, and finds it undo-able (if that's a word lmao), there's something that has to be done.

And I agree, there has to be knockback otherwise it would be unfair, but reduce the amounts of knockback - which is the title of this topic - in my opinion, is necerssary. Especially on Christian Brutal Sniper.

That is just one round, out of God knows how many thousands of rounds played. You can't win 'em all.

I'm experiencing this everyday. Not just when I'm hale but when others are hales. If there's 2 sentries, it's actually impossible to run directly towards them, not to mention that there's rarely 2 sentries standing by themselves, there's usually a dozen of other people standing there.

I just played Crevice, and I only managed to take out the whole base because I could become invincible being the Vagineer, and these goddamn pyros (it usually looks like this with the amount of pyros) pushed me away constantly.

Like I don’t mean his offensively and I’m not saying you are bad in any way, but I’m pretty sure other experienced players like me, kushy can win rounds as u describe them. I honestly don’t think knockback is a game breaker.

I'd love to see you play as hale in any map where there's a central point for bases to appear within the first minute of the game, and beat it while there's 22 opponents, without thinking the knockback is a gamebreaker.

As I played military area today, I had a single sentry on a container, with a pyro, a heavy and a medic, and we kept the hale flying around the map for over a solid minute before he landed, and failed to kill us, and this was a decent hale. I'm just saying, that if experienced players like ourselves (Me, Evo, PNN) agrees that the knockback has increased a tad too much, maybe there's something about it.

And to what you said about you and Kushy, if only literally some of the best thinks that it's no big deal, try putting yourself in less experienced people's shoes, people who just plays there for fun occasionally, just to get knocked their socks off by sentries and pyros.

Yea I agree, every time I see a nest with multiple heavies and engineers, I just give up because there is no way to get to them, its a major problem with maps you have to super jump to get to them. ik mimicer and ones with bs rages can get to them, but I only play miku and meeseeks, and they have an extremely hard time to reach them.

I rarely play as the hale, but when I know I'm queued to become hale at some point on that map I choose my hale based on everyone's techniques. It's easy, really. All you have to do is pay attention to what class people have been for the last few rounds leading up to your round as hale & pick out who you think your biggest threat would be. If there's a few people who go to the same nest every round & you feel like they're the biggest threat, go to that nest first & eliminate the threat before it can build up to it's strongest point.
Once you figure out who your biggest threats are, choose a hale according to which rage would be the most useful in that situation. As long as you pay attention to your team & notice their tactics, you should be fine. Unless you're just bad at hale, like me.
I think the knockback is fine the way it is, you just need to git gud.

Edit: I'm mainly talking to goose in response to FF2 because I know that's what he plays. I don't know shit about regular VSH though.

Well the ones who counter the camping the easiest are mimicer and Spyper, but i hate playing them because its so easy to win as them, but in regular VSH, they need knockback reduced. Hale is strong, but Knockback is stronger

(cocky-alert)I am one of the best players on VSH , and I just have to support Pootis now. The knockback is insane. The airblast of the pyro is WAY stronger now then earlier, and if you meet a sentry you will fly almost out of the map. Just please, reduce the knockback from the players around

I have here a demo, I will present you. The hale is a decent player (Actually rather good), and even he is having trouble with the knockback from people (Especially the pyros which has become a pain in the ass)

Like just look at that, that is absolutely ridiculous. You literally can't kill pyros that are semi-good without having to use rage. Not that there's anything wrong with using rage, but if it has gotten to the point where it is actually impossible to kill someone without using rage, there's something there has to be done - decreasing knockback from shots and airblasts.
