I got a few questions:
Do you know how he did it?
Are you sure he is exploiting a glitch?
Do you recall which race he was using in the first demo?
After reviewing the first demo, I guess that he is using Sacred Warrior, with the health regeneration items "Ring of Regeneration", "Trinket of Restoration", and "Lifetube" combined.
The second demo shows that he receives HP from rocket jumping, which makes me believe that he uses the race Rarity. The race Rarity has the ability "Heartache" that has the following description in-game: "Up to 15% chance of dealing 20 true damage and healing self for the same amount."
The game thinks the player is hurting himself, as he rocket jumps with the Rocket Jumper. This glitch/bug has existed ever since the race Rarity was added.

I didn't know how to perform the same exploit before reading your response but I'm sure it's the exploit he's been using for a long time. The race that he used on the first demo was Rarity since he kept mesmerizing players before goomba stomping them and there was no way to actually kill him since he'd just keep spamming the rocket jumper and overheal up to 400 hp.
I'd consider it an exploit.
He's friends with an player (whose name I don't recall anymore) that got banned from the server from using exploits like this. Because they're still friends the player that got banned teatches him the steps needed to replicate these types of exploits.

As a sidenote, gris has always played to "abuse" overpowered item/race/class combos and to pretty much annoy everyone with his playstyle overall
I do believe that if any glitching happened, that it's 100% intented. But hell, I am not even a war3 admin anymore so ignore me what do I know
