Let me start of by saying that the jb server was the reason for me to discover this awesome community, the panda community. As most jb players know I played a lot on the jb servers and had my ups and downs there. The jb server is like my home of the panda community.

Today I heard the jb admins want to close the server. I've seen why and I do understand them. But that doesnt mean we need to shut down jailbreak. In belgium we say:"Als je erin geraakt geraak je er ook uit!" Wich means "Once you get into trouble, you will get out of that trouble". Here we speak of a you, I'd like to transform this to:"Once something reaches a certain state, it will get out of that state as well!" Here I have stated my reason why I want to give jailbreak another go.

But then again I was not expecting this from the server administration.

Now you might ask why dont you apply for jb admin then? Well, firstly I do not match the requirement of age and secondly school is starting soon: I will have to study a lot and im afraid I can not actively administrate for the server.

I think we can give it another go with a new system: You can only join blue when you have proven your worth as a warden, this will happen under admin supervision. If they do not succeed, their guardblock will go back on. The problem with this system: jb adlins want jailbreak dead. Thats how it is.

If this is what the community wants then I wont complain any further. But please think before voting.

Now, before I end this post. I want to ask everyone to not hate me for posting this and I want to ask @Swaggy and Cammy not to post cammy resignation reasons here I've already read them and there are more admins then only Cammy.

The things I said on your status were things Cammy gave to me to respond to you. In other word you haven't read them before. So you might want to read through those responds again.

Jailbreak is dying even if we want it or not. If we go in and deal with the rulebreakers then the server dies as no one else wants to go BLU and if we don't go in the server dies to. No matter what we do the outcome is the same.

My respond to that, first of all the jailbreak admins don't want JB dead, they just don't care as no matter what we do the server dies on the moment we punish the rulebreakers or not even show up at all. Second the system you give is kinda the same what we have now, you go BLU if an admin sees you're unable to properly play as a BLU then you get a guardban. The system you give though would mean no one can go on BLU until an admin comes on (in the case only new players are on the server).

Jailbreak was for many people here the reason to discover this community, but as many people (including me) stated it already, there is no reason to keep Jailbreak. Even today somebody asked me if it should be replaced with another gamemode.

One of the many reasons why Jailbreak is a dead mess is because of the many people that fail to be the warden. Most likely kids that don't even speak English or don't want to read the rules/didn't understand them. These then get teambanned and there is nobody else to replace the position with somebody else than one of these kids. The round keeps resetting until all players left. These kids scared away the regular players, wich kept the server alive. Opening another Jailbreak server in another region doesn't help at all.

And by the way, saying that the admins are trying to bring down Jailbreak on purpose looks in my eyes like a ugly and disgusting way to say that they are bad. They tried their best to keep the server alive, I even made a fucking thread about ways that might save it.

What to say about this exactly...

I don't particularly think they purposely want the jailbreak server to be driven into the ground. I'm sure the jailbreak admin team had the best interest in mind. It's just with the server in it's condition with the playerbase not bringing in enough quality wardens / guards it dies out. The admins push hard on it, which any admin with interest in the server would, but this can also be a curse by driving away people who could learn to become a quality warden / guard.

It's a shame really that it's come to this. I love jailbreak. It's a gamemode I've sometimes laughed so hard something comes out one of my orifices But it's just not meant to be. The plugin keeps messing up and we're limited to what we can do server wise as it keeps messing up.

If it get so bad Kevin will most likely remove it. Till then, I guess we should try to bring it to life? :S

Ah Jailbreak, I remember the good ol' days (not really lel) when I was administrating it. It was a simple gamemode, until I came along with other people who started to basically rewrite the entire rules. #off-topic-af

While I despise jailbreak now, I do believe it's a shame to see such a "unique" gamemode die because of all the kids. But it's nothing we can change, there will always be kids in mature and R rated games, even if their parents tell them to not play such games. It probably wont matter as of now if it is dying, people move on to new things.

First of I want to give my apologies, the admin team is indeed doing the best they can and indeed they do not want to bring it down on purpose, I misunderstood this in the first place.

Secondly I have played another day of jailbreak (not really a full day) and I must say that I was blind for what was happening with jb. As Madact stated above this is such a special gamemode but it requires much, not only from the admins but also from the players. Jb is not how I know it from when I started to play anymore. The server is, despite the administrators efforts, slowly dying. I still cannot believe this but I have a suggestion: IF and only IF jb gets shut down, bring it back after a month or six, or maybe even a year. To give it a fresh new start.

I cannot play a normal round of tf2jb on the pandaserver aymore, therefore I must say that I placed my vote on the poll right...

I loved the jb gamemode but (sorry I have to say this) this is not jb any longer.
I want to thank @Swaggy and @Cammy in specific for learning me the ways of jb (sometimes the hard way ), also I want to thank the jb gameserver admin team wheter they resigned or not. Make that the full admin team, I believe we all had our funny moments. At last I want to thank every other player who ever played jb even if they didnt knew what they were doing. They made me realize all that is stated above. I do not have anything to add on this; but I also want to thank you for reading through all this.

Its really hard to say all of this but sometimes things have to be said...

i must say that it truely pains me to say what i am going to say. But yes, jailbreak is dying.
i used to play on panda community servers without even noticing i was on them, until i started to play alot of jailbreak. i also did call jailbreak my "home" it bringed me here, my best friends (that are now allmost, if not all, gone) played on this server and my best moment were also made in jailbreak.
But what is it now ? it rarely has more than 10 players and evrytime i try to connect there is like what ? 5 players ? It's playerbase has disapeared.
I look back with nostalgia at this kind of "golden age" of jailbreak where i could join the server at almost any time and being sure to find enough player to have a good game and a regular player to chat with (though jailbreak allways had a high number of rulebreakers).
and as hard as it is to say, i think that shuting the server down and try to bring it back later can be a potential solution.

Superfart every time the server has some kind of players it's mostly rulebreakers, new players, regulars, regulars who enforce rules without knowing them and regulars who call for an admin but when no one comes they are to lazy to make a demo so they can then report the rulebreaker. So they just keep spamming the callbot and eventually even come to the shoutbox.

This gamemode is how I got into this community just like many others, the servers are just dying out because of the lack of administration and "new" bugs in this gamemode which are still there after all this time.
I don't know why there are two servers running Jailbreak nowedays but the europian one can be saved.

I am playing on Jailbreak now for the last few days and people come when I go to the BLU team like usual but there are just too many kids who are breaking the rules.
This is why me Matters and Maddity made a thread in the past about young players being allowed on the BLU team. (<14 year)

I actually stand for what Madact said on this topic.
I believe Administrating Jailbreak became more of a task/duty then actually a passion for the Admins who Administrated Jailbreak lately, no offence to them.
I know that they did their jobs and we all should be thankfull that someone was there to maintain the server.
But it seems like the server needs a bit of "love" and time to teach the players how to get into the gamemode, I wasn't too great as well when I started out.

If people won't break the big/main rules and Admins give players warning/small guardbans then the server-administration would blow new life into this gamemode again, take it from the ancestors from Jailbreak! Me and Madact =3

It's been proven in most cases that small guardbans doesn't make the player learn from his/her mistakes. The creator of this thread being one of them.

Man ... Ive been a part of this community for almost 9 months because of the jailbreakserver on the panda community I think its such an amazing gamemode which should never be removed. Of course I understand that it must be frustrating to have so many ignorant rulebreakers which are ruining the amazing experience of jb but it would break my heart if the only thing thats been keep giving me such an amazing time in TF2 would be gone in this community. I think its up to us to "make jailbreak great again" (sorry xD) if we just maybe try to join once more to play some rounds of jb we could surely improve the current state ...
Just please dont take this away from me I have already like 100 h on the jb server #17 and I hope there will be many more to come

Ive been on Panda WAY longer then i have had this account, i think i joined the May of when i joined the fourms, Naturally i ame here through JB as i saw it on a video and wanted to play some myself. Ive met a whole bunch of people, some i would even consider friends on said server one being @Persi and heck id even count @Wolf to the mix there. I very do not much want JB to die but due to my nature and how i actually react... its impossible for me to do so. Ive always wanted to play on JB as long as it lives, I actually considered attempting to become admin on JB but turned against it.
People need to accept the fact that Jailbreak is dying, you could go as far as to say that even the community is slowly dying but thats how life is, We can TRY and save it but in the end it wont matter
