Hello again,
so I created a Particle System in TF2 Tools Mode, that should replace the Bonk! effect.

The particle system that should replace bonk. Don't ask why.

After I finshed, I copied the conc_stars.pcf file, created new folders so it replaces the bonk effect (tf\particles\conc_stars.pcf) and compiled it into a .vpk . I placed the .vpk into the custom folder and it didn't work. I just didn't show up any particles when I bonked someone, and it didn't even show the Bonk! text. And my question now is what did I do wrong? Did I replace the wrong pcf file, did I choose the wrong path or do I have to change materials? If you know how to fix that, your help would be very appreciated.

Is this what i think it is <3

What's the full path to your custom particle file (starting from tf\)?

tf\particles\conc_stars.pcf
Have you tried putting it into your usermod folder? Maybe it could change something...
EDIT: Too used to SFM, I mean custom folder**

I tried with tf\custom\cull(my_custom_stuff)\particles\conc_stars.pcf but it didn't change anything. Same effect.

Mhmm, then now I don't really know... You checked particle tutorials online and stuff to see if your custom particle was compatible with TF2? (I really am a newbie with particles sooo)

I think I saw a custom Bonk! mod before somewhere.

Have you tested it with any other type of .pcf file with the particle effect you have? If it works with those then it's something odd about the particle system you have. If not then I have no idea.

Btw are there any settings in the TF2 Tools Mode that specify what type of particle system it is?

There are different types of particle systems? Or did I just missunderstood that? Anyway, i'm gonna test that tomorrow.

After multiple hours of trying, I finally found all mistakes I did and fixed them. 1st The .pcf file was broken somehow and didn't load. I recreated it afterwards. 2nd I made a mistake in the directory; its not (sample name)\tf\particles\... , it's (sample name)\particles\... I'm so glad that it finally works, and it's big step for me to get that working. Thank you for your help!
