Missing map (1 Viewer)

For some reason when trying to join surf i getting dissconected becayse of "
Missing map maps/surf_wavelength_v2.bsp, disconnecting" and i have downloaded the right map and the it say's "
Your map [maps/surf_wavelength_v2.bsp] differs from the server's." How do i fix this? pls help.

Also, if i load up the map in "singelplayer" i just get the "Missing texture" texture

One thing you can try in the meantime is:
1. Remove the map from your tf2-folder.
2. Join server and DON'T press "cancel". Wait until you get completely in or until the server drops you.

That always fixed that issue for me.

Ok, it's for all the sufr maps. i can't log on any map without this problem

It's another map now, but im starting to think it is a problem with my game or is it the server? The map it is now is :surf_overcast_v1.bsp

well, it couldnt find the bz2 files cause they werent located in the directory which they are supposed to be so you get a Missing Map error which is in 98% a server issue (unless people change stuff on a map and dont rename it so you also run into issues, rare these days tho)
