People's mics appear to breaking quite frequently on Jail break causing them to be muted for some reason without them being actually muted however when they go on BLU team it works fine. Even after admins help out by quickly muting the person then unmuting them (which fixes it) about an hour later the problem will come back; I just thought I would let you know. Cheers! :).

I'm going to give what I think about what is causing it.
Basically it's a plugin. A mute plugin to stop people from overtalking the warden. Have you ever noticed, that if the 'glitched' muted player becomes warden or gets !forcewarden that suddenly there mic is unmuted...And after they've been unmuted they can now talk on red team with no mute at all.
Sourceban muting and unmuting also sorts this, but it isn't what is causing this. It's how this plugin is working. If you choose to remove this plugin though, you'll get a lot more overtalkers.
Sometimes though the plugin doesn't work and let's people talk without the mute. You noticed in the chat where it goes 'Red team has been unmuted' and thing like that? That is the plugin at work.

Basically it would be worth finding out which plugin is causing this, or command to stop it from doing this. Though it all depends. We might be able to find a way where it only takes a couple of commands to stop it from glitching. Maybe just a plugin update. We needs research!

This whole situation been here for quite some time, since the Jailbreak 2.0 if I would recall correctly.

There is something what I find highly irritating with this microphone "glitch" situation, I've been "Glitched" 4 times while being Warden.
I wonder if normal players can have this glitch as Warden as wel, but somehow I think it's because of the Admin status.
Ofcourse the Mute/Unmute will fix this issue but It's difficult to know when your muted.

I had several times that I was explaining the rules / administrating the server while being muted, isn't there a way that Admins are able to talk no matter the situation is? (dead, spectator etc)

Another Question, is it alright for me as admin to mute/unmute players?
It will get a bit spammy in the sourcebans I think, I alway's explained that I can't mute/unmute because people might think I muted the players for a diffrent reason (punishment)
 

I'm not sure how you should set them this time but my only guess is setting warden_voice to 1 but that might cause a glitch when the actual mute (in SourceComms) gets removed.
But a muted player shouldn't be in the blue team at all so I think that might be worth a try.
 
This might be a solution to the problem...I dunno when we'll have time to slot this in. I'll put this into todoist
